ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

of those 18 games how many minutes has he played though??
He could possibly have had a couple but thats the life of an up and coming player in his first full time year I suppose

Breeze has presumably got permission to send Alvin off and start an immediate suspension on the grounds that he might not get us until the finals and doesnt want to hang about :)

As for MS, any player, in any position needs a solid run of games to perform at 100% (Tommy & Hutcho last year, Kwas post injury this).

He hasnt been a prolific marksman for the Lightning so maybe wide mid is a better position??

yeh he doesnt have the experience to be able to handle the pressure.

its not the pressure from the team or anything to perform i dont think... i think its the pressure from the crowd. coz everytime he is getting close, the crowd erupts. u can tell he wants to score for the fans.

once he scores, i reckon he will unleash. he scored a hatfull for lightning.

edit: he was their highest goal scorer. so he must have been prolific to some extent.

yeh but he needs a proper goal to take the pressure off him. look how many chances he has created but f**ked up... just because of the pressure. he can usually put those in the back of the net with his eyes closed. he and derrick caisley scored something like, 50 goals in premiere league when he was at east gossie.

I want Matty to score for himself never mind the crowd.
TBH come the finals itll be Sash and JA show i think, though Sash has done it tough the last couple of weeks but hes a big game player and will make the step up.Id love nothing more to see the old cigar smoking routine after he scores against the Bling in the finals

well he has played for australia. u never know what he is capable of. some of the goals he scored for my team this year were unbelievable considering his age and all. hes like a modern-day yoda, except taller.

If Ceccoli doesn't get clearance would Lawrie be tempted to go with a 3-4-3? You don't want to underestimate Perth but with Vukovic in goal and their woeful attacking last week I wouldn't mind seeing that, at the moment CCM's goal difference is 3 down on Queensland so they need to smash someone, although Queensland do have Sydney coming up so that'll be a loss for them.

Anyway, please Lawrie, I'm done with exciting football a boring crap 1-0 win is better than the most exciting game in Australian history 4-5 loss.

Can Ceccoli still play if clearance comes through after the Thursday squad announcement (which he was not in)?

Sounds like everyone's fairly certain he can. Maybe he can because he is injury cover?

Yeah he can.

He has until sometime on Sunday for it to come through IIRC.

turns out reddy has a broken thumb. cant see him playing. not sure of the details, just saw it on foxsports, so i assume most people know of this, just thought i would point it out for those who didnt.

I Just hope Griffin Mcmaster doesn't do what Tando Velaphi did last year and have a blinder against Melbourne to dent our premiership chances.

ive been told that we are waiting for ceccolis japanese club to clear him, and not the FFA. i could b wrong though. but apparently they [his old club]  dont wanna do anything while in their holiday period but the mariners are trying to get them to sort it out.

but lets face facts guys... sydney are winning games now. thats why they are in 3rd spot. not because lowy is scoring goals for them, hes not on the field. thats what happens when u get a new coach - the attitude and perspective of the players changes.
