ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Scenario - If 'Tubby' Palmer chucks an even bigger dummy spit and GCU fails to turn up on Wednesday for our deferred match, do we get the 3 points?

Absolute must win game while they are in shambles.

Good chance to rest 2-3 players?
They would be harder to play as Moron isnt there. If No Goal Gol Mebrahtu is there, they wont finish,he hasnt in three years, cant hold up a ball

Arnie will be treating this game very seriously, GCU wounded and hurt with backs to the wall and always seem to lift against us!

Without Miron hopefully they won't employ the "Lizard" gameplan, which resulted in the most boring NYE game i've ever seen!

If we are as slick as we were on Saturday against Wellington, we should wipe the floor with these guys, expecting Sutton to put in a big shift for this game!

Rogic will have lots of attention so expect Wee-Mac to shine (as he always does) in order to free Rogic up

I love our depth!

I'll be there, on the tour of duty. It's only an hours' train ride for me, but it should still be considered a duty because I can think of plenty of other things I would rather do of a night than go to Skilled for a GCU match. It's a joyless, soulless place to watch football at with less atmosphere than a NYL game. Anybody who has been there for a match in the past year or so will know exactly what I mean. The bastards have even made it harder to drink your boredom away- overpriced mid-strength beer anyone? Thanks Anna...

I tip a 3-1 win to us FTR...

I agree. That is what makes Arnie great, and makes me laugh at the haters who go 'Mariners will choke again this year'. Whereas Ange gets top prize for coaching a team to play a certain style, I don't think anyone beats Graham when it comes to getting a side in the winning frame of mind, mentally. Look at the Adelaide and Heart games this season and the Sydney game last season as evidence...

GCU have never been pushovers. Well maybe once, when youngsters Amini, Ibini and Duke ripped them a new one up there.

I expect a tricky match but we clearly have too much class if we play like last weekend.

As has been said, we must win this. We have 6 matches to go and we must win 4 to wrap up the Premiership, assuming Roar win all 5 of theirs. I don't want to go to Wellington for our last H&A having to win it.
As has also been said, Arnie will have the boys in exactly the right frame of mind.

. i am not doubting for a second that arnie is not taking this game seriously ... but what are the chances he will rest someone (like big pat)

. mid-week on the gold coast, away on the weekend ... acl mid-weekers and finals just around the corner. i assume sainsbury & gallagher are available again

. but i don't think we have beaten them this year ... we can't let that continue. myabe unleash the kiddies again ... it worked before :piralaugh:

I'm with FP it would be stupid to rest anyone going into this game. We need to build momentum after playing badly for 4-5 weeks.
Last week should be the platform for us to dominate the run in and have even Brisbane scared to play us.

Why rest anyone? Three points now is critical. Rest players if we are 3 nil up at half time and have secured the plate. Not before.

. fair enough

. just remembering there was some resting last year for mid-week games (perth is maybe a bit different though) ... it must happen sooner or later

Don't rest anyone for this game - but remember we will have 3 first team players returning against Heart.

Having some redundancy means we're in good shape for the spate of midweek games.
