7pm this Saturday at BT (Youth game at 4.15pm).

I predict 1-1 and a crowd of around 6k.

(Assuming all back from O/S)

Danny
Huke/Pedj Wilko Doig Heff
Kwas Wee Mac Hutch Lewis
Matty Mrdja

(Yes I would happily play Kwas on the wing)

Team wont look anything like that of course but we shall see.........

Can't see Porter being dropped as he was best on field last game.

Also, do you inside info about kwassy now playing as a winger?

None at all, I just reckon he can relax more there than with the pressure of being a striker. He has played wide right before and is very effective.

agree, though there is little chance both your outside midfielders will be in the starting eleven IMO

Mariners will come out guns blazing and be up 2-0 by half-time. Then late in the 2nd half, Fowler will net a screamer before the Fury get awarded a highly controversial penalty shot late in injury time. Fowler will strike it sweetly, final score 2-2. We are the Mariners, and this is Bluetongue. Remember that...

Confidence is very low........Lawrie needs to boost this up before Saturday because if we go 1 down I can see our heads dropping again with the attitude of here we go again.

I would suggest

---------------Danny
Porter-----Wilko-----Boogs-----Heff
Travis----McGlinchey--Pedj----Hutch
-----------Simon---Mrdja

May see Doig on the bench, interesting that Boogs played in the holding midfield role for youth on Sunday, I doubt Lawrie would revert to this but he's played there before.  We could see Travis dropped again, he didn't do too well on NYE, might opt for Huke I thought he did ok on the right for youth, depends on his knock?  Personally I'd choose Kwas over Dmac for the bench, he works well with Simon and must surely be due a home goal lol

Personally I think it's important that Lawrie keeps faith in his team and doesn't tinker with the lineup too much, what work they do off the field this week is just as important as what they do on it!

FODH

Seen our home form in the past calendar year? I mean in theory the Mariners SHOULD win this comfortably, and if it was being played at DFS I'd rate us. But it aint.

Maybe start with Doig to add a bit of confidence into the back line - can always sub him at HT/after 60 mins if needed?

Huke deserves a place for entertainment value alone - his language while "guiding" the yoof players was worth the drenching lol

It is time to bring back doig for defensive strength, and to stop giving away cheap goals.

It is also time to return to 3 up front, very attacking. NthQld defence struggle uder presure, but their midfield hounds, we should take their aggressive midfield out of the equation by going over them IMO

I think we should play the long ball game that everybody says we play and play a 5-0-5 that will take there midfield out and we might score a goal.

Leeds showed how to play the long ball game at OT on Sunday.

From deep, and diagonal between CB and FB. Not mindlessly hoofed up the middle.

I notice McBreen's spending much time on the pine the last few weeks, very little match play. Does that mean he's in Fergie's bad books? Or is it just because he's not scoring goals? He hasn't scored since we signed him. Bit of a worry, that. We've got quite enough strikers who can't score already.

Id say since daal is staying fergie wants to get him and fowler playing well together.

I will be quite happy if he is on the bench, as he is a handful for us. Though daal is too
