Not to sure i buy the Tom’s calf hurt talk.

Sounds a little bit of a senior player saying I’m not playing this crap. I’ll just say I’m injured.

Collects the pay cheque and doesn’t get in trouble from the club.

Had that feeling and now @Wombat says he’s training

is that today or yesterday. Eg after the weekend when he came off?

It's Mulvey dicking Tommy around not the other way.
My sources tell me he wants to play and can't believe he is not playing.

Thinking it's time to ask the club to address this publicly once and for all and if itsi the way it's been looking then I'm in for a fan revolt. Some passionate fan support might even convince Tommy to stay on after this year despite what appears to be happening

Tommy knows how we feel. I’m playing devil’s advocate here somewhat but at this point all he can do is keep putting in the hard yards to prove his quality to Mulvey - much as I don’t agree with mulvey’s decision to leave him out of the starting 11. Fan revolt etc won’t change that.....

..... but if he doesn’t travel to Wellington I’m cancelling my f**king flight.

This is just speculation, with no solid evidence to back it up:

Tom H has been frozen out cause he's going to be moved on in January for a marque. Contractually and financially, is that possible?
There has been some noise that a marque will be signed every few years with one possible in January.
If that's the case, it had better be a good one that will produce results.
For me, I'd rather have Tom H stay. He's not marque status, but has quality and fight when given his chance.

If Tom doesn’t travel and then leaves in January I’m pretty well done.
Yeah we’ve been so close in some games which was nice. But when the manager starts doing things that plain old lil fans like us know 1000% correctly that should not be happening, that’s f**ked up and makes our situation worse.
THE BLOKE WANTS TO PLAY FOR US AND CHANGE SHIT.
I saw Tom H the week after he was originally “injured” in terrigal and he said he could not wait to be back and start turning things around. Yeah pro’s say that a lot, but anyone that speaks to the bloke know how bloody genuine Tom is.

The boys that go over to NZ please make a sign about Tom to get media talking about it. To force the clubs hand. Honestly.

Piss Ross off, for all his ability, he pretty well did nothing and clearly did not care too much. He would’ve worked harder otherwise. His injury is good timing. I was happy as Larry when we got him but ofcourse it didn’t work out for us.
Bring Duke back in, he’s improved massively in Japan. And he will fight for us.

No mention of Tom H

Head Coach Mike Mulvey provided the following injury updates on: Ross McCormack, Tommy Oar, Jordan Murray, Jonathan Aspropotamitis and Corey Gameiro,

Ross McCormack update (Knee)
“We’ve decided to send Ross back to Aston Villa to check in with a specialist. We expect him back just before Christmas and the best situation we can see at this stage would be having Ross eligible for selection for our New Year’s Eve game against Perth Glory,” Mulvey said.

Tommy Oar update (Knee)
“Tommy won’t be eligible for selection this weekend against Wellington. He’s back running which is great news and we will hope to have him back for our game against the Newcastle Jets at home on December 23,” Mulvey sad.

Jordan Murray update (Ankle)
“We’re thrilled to have Jordan back this week. He’s one of the lads that we plucked from the NPL. He’s an exciting prospect, he’s chomping at the bit and deserves his opportunity,” Mulvey said.

Jonathan Aspropotamitis update (ACL)
“Jonathan is nine months post ACL injury, which is quite a traumatic injury. In my history of understanding players in that situation, it takes a little bit of time for them to gain their full confidence.

“He’s an absolute consummate professional, I love his attitude and he has been diligent with his recovery. It was great to see him play 65 minutes in the Youth League on the weekend. We will give him another run out with the youth team on the weekend and we hope he will make even better strides this weekend,” Mulvey said.

We're quick to assume they'll release Ross but then Mulvey's exact words were:
"Ross McCormack is probably out for about four to five weeks, he’s tweaked his knee,”Mulvey revealed.

“He’s seeing the surgeon on Monday. We’ll work out a plan for him to get back.”

And now we have an elephant in the room. But wait!!! .......... Tom is obviously not injured

There is nothing more damning than a premeditated omission of information.

The main piece of positive news imo:
Jordan Murray update (Ankle)

Would love to see him get a genuine sniff at no. 9. Whenever he's played he's been lively and there-abouts, and actually has a crack at goal when in range. I have real hopes for Murray so would love to see him get to take this Rossless opportunity

McCORMACK BACK TO VILLA:

Central Coast Mariners loan star Ross McCormack has flown back to the UK after failing to shake off an injury.

The Aston Villa striker hasn't appeared for the Gosford side since round five when he started against Perth Glory last month.

A niggling knee injury has kept him sidelined ever since and now the Mariners have allowed him to fly back to England for the injury to be assessed by Villa medics.

The club expects him to return before Christmas and are still hopeful of him being match fit by New Year's Eve.

“We’ve decided to send Ross back to Aston Villa to check in with a specialist," coach Mike Mulvey said today.

"We expect him back just before Christmas and the best situation we can see at this stage would be having Ross eligible for selection for our New Year’s Eve game against Perth Glory."

The club has been hit by a string of injuries but Mulvey is confident of having several players close to returning.

Tommy Oar has also been ruled out with a knee injury and Mulvey admitted: “Tommy won’t be eligible for selection this weekend against Wellington.

"He’s back running which is great news and we will hope to have him back for our game against Newcastle Jets at home on December 23."

There's better news on NPL pick up Jordan Murray who has had an ankle injury.

“We’re thrilled to have Jordan back this week. He’s one of the lads that we plucked from the NPL. He’s an exciting prospect, he’s chomping at the bit and deserves his opportunity,” Mulvey said.

Jonathan Aspropotamitis is also on the comeback trail after his ACL injury, with coaching staff now focused on rebuilding his confidence.

“Jonathan is nine months post-ACL injury, which is quite a traumatic injury," Mulvey said. "In my history of understanding players in that situation, it takes a little bit of time for them to gain their full confidence.

“He’s an absolute consummate professional, I love his attitude and he has been diligent with his recovery. It was great to see him play 65 minutes in the Youth League on the weekend.

"We will give him another run out with the youth team on the weekend and we hope he will make even better strides this weekend."

Corey Gamerio is also said to be close to a return.

Mulvey added: “Corey is another one that I’m sure fans are keen to see make his A-League debut in Mariners colours.

"He is working hard to return from a calf injury and we’re confident that we will have him back to full team training around that Christmas period."
