Hopefully this weeJudas episode shows that transfers can be made between A-League clubs, but that valid contracts must be paid/negotiated out.

It is, after all, the fundamental basis of contract law.

What should a club be able to do if it has a player on contract that doesn't want to play?

You can continue paying him or you can terminate. It is a tricky power balance between player and club.

For A-League salary cap transfers, the FFA should insist that players must pay out half the remaining contract and the new club pays out the other half. If the new club wants the player as Marquee, then full payout PLUS some FFA fixed transfer fee (say $50k).

Pretty decent player but we need a 20 goals a season type striker.
Certainly vastly superior to Cernak.

Looking at the stats Chianese is a 1 goal per 4 games, Matt Simon is at 1 per 3.5games for us.
Considering Stdney FC have done nothing while Chianese has been there whilst we have had considerable success, he may be worth a look.

Griffiths out for six weeks; Moss looking for a CB as cover. Mat Simon unlikely to be ready for the start of the season.
Most of us would have thought Moss needed another CB anyway; Matty rarely played last year like the Matty of old so this does not look good.

20 goals a season is 20 goals in 27 games. Who could do that? Berisha maybe? A Goal every 2 games striker would be great and even there that is tough to get.
