ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Monty and Serge are at Spurs doing their apprenticeship under Ange and Jedi.

I'd say they are ok with how it worked out.

(Just need to knife Ange and the CCM takeover is complete)

Jacko loves Alfie, Alfie is Jacko’s boy, so unless Alfie himself wants out. He ain’t going anywhere. And despite the few haters around here, Alfie is regularly one of the best on ground for us. He would absolutely shine brighter playing with Tappy over steely, imo.

I know it’s all hypotheticals but Steeley & Alfie’s form would be completely different if we didn’t lose Tapp. Maybe if we had extra midfield depth we would’ve stayed in the treble winning 433 & had more control in the middle instead of struggling with the 442 and 5atb we’ve tried this season.

I can’t see our midfield stocks changing next season so will be exciting to see how everything links together with Tapp back, Alfie more settled & Eames another year older.

Would you drop Steele for Alfie. They both want to play the same role
My question would be two-fold for someone who has some time on their hands. What is the difference in a) points per game since Alfie has been out (include the game he got injured in because it was very early in the game)? b) goals per game? Just on a pure 'eye-test' (without the above data) I'd say both are higher without Alfie.

Challenge kind of accepted.

Did we play Western as well, or was that before injury?
Interesting stats, thanks for doing the leg work. Any conclusions to be drawn?

So 1.67 (no Alfie) versus (<1.19) (with Alfie) goals per game.

Thanks chatGOT(ham01) 😅

To answer the question:
PPG pre Alfie injury - 1.16 (12 games, 14 points)
GPG pre Alfie injury - 1 (12 games for… uh… 12 goals)

PPG since - 1.5 (4 games, 6 points)
GPG since 1.75 (4 games, 7 goals)

Not in any way suggesting this is purely down to Alfie being out, I just like stats.
