ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

While Pete says it’s not happening so doesn’t matter, i still think this is the wrong feeling.

He deserves a pay day as a Socceroo and we can’t afford those players. Gave us 2 championships and Asian Cup.

Time to appreciate what they all gave us and if any of the players go elsewhere for whatever reason, remember they gave us the holy grail
For me, I would have just questioned it in terms of career progression. We won back to back titles and have a berth in the ACL.. How is signing up for another aleague club, not in the ACL, a career progression?

I will wish him well wherever he goes but I would have hated an aleague move for us as well as him. Deserves more.

Depends on what you determine as career progression I guess.

Is it staying in your comfort zone for less money at a club that is about to be gutted again, has ties with a Portuguese 2nd tier club and the very real possibility of being pantsed in the ACL,

or is it getting 100k more to go to a club that has world class facilities and a network around the world, one of which has a heavy Australian flavour?

The only way another A league club makes sense is for that network if his agent hasnt been able to secure a good OS pathway. Money is important but I think the right next step secures him so much more.

I get that but if they can’t get that career progression then the dollars come.

No pressure guys.

“The goal is to win three Championships in a row. We are in the AFC Champions League Elite too which is going to be an unreal experience.”

“The three-peat has never been done in Australian football history so to be able to create some more history will be amazing. It’s obviously going to be tough, there will be a lot of teams coming for us, but that’s the goal.” Steele said.
