Joseph Forde not getting any minutes for Waterford in the Irish first division, might be good fullback cover for next season?
ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.
Irish first division is pretty average. If you can't make it there you are probably not good enough for us.Joseph Forde not getting any minutes for Waterford in the Irish first division, might be good fullback cover for next season?

We have Storm, Doka, Faz, Magaris, Sasha and Smith already.
This is Eire not N.I. Ireland should be slightly stronger than N.I but not much.I'm moving to NI in a couple of months, watched a bit of north Irish football, it's comparable, I'd say the standard is at NSW NPL level.

No thanks on Aspro. If we're losing Dan Hall and after a pre-season none of Nathan Paull, Andre Parkes, Cher Deng or Parker Williams are ready to step up yet, would Lachlan Jackson be a good replacement?
Not getting the most minutes at Suwon and is now a good age (29) for a centre back. Jonathan Aspropotamitis is in the same boat at Pohang.

Mat Hatch?.Is there anyone in NPL standing out, even amongst opposition, Blacktown, Marconi and Rochdale all have very strong defensive records
I think trewin is better as a mid than a centre half. Although he did have to manage Aldred when he was at the back this year.I know Trewin has been linked with City but surely ACL exposure would be good for a young guy.
The last 3 are all potential first graders but not next season. Paull would benefit from a good run in the NPL. I hope we are not relying him coming good in a few pre-season games. If we're losing Dan Hall and after a pre-season none of Nathan Paull, Andre Parkes, Cher Deng or Parker Williams are ready to step up yet, would Lachlan Jackson be a good replacement?

I played with a guy in the 90s who'd played professionally in Ireland. He was a decent player but nothing special in Gladesville Hornsby AA2.After watching both, there is minimal difference. Between the 2.
Most of the time if there is a All Ireland trophy being contested ( as does happen intermittently) the result is always pretty tight.
IbisukiI think if we really want to compete in the ACL (especially at the business end) we will need to have a regular goal-scoring CS. I'm not convinced we have one at the moment.
Imagine Tulio and Cumdingo added to this squad!!
Guessing he's going to Auckland?Ibisuki
less than desirable results but still be financially viable
Desirable results meaning premiership/championship, if we can get top 6 every year that would be my minimum expectations after selling our good players after 2 years of dominance.I'm not sure that these two things actually go together? They make money by selling players. If there are no good players to sell, no money.
Personally I wouldn't expect to be premiership/championship winners every year, but I expect to be having a mix of experienced players and youngsters coming through and a decent standard kept so that the players can actually be sold for a decent amount.
