It’s a long time out of football and many players understandably struggle to find their earlier form, Coast is a great place to rehab. Hopefully he comes good, But until he’s actually back on the field doing it, I just don’t even factor serious injury players in any more. Burned too many times.

On the other other hand, storm, what like a decade later? Looks like his younger self and has been fantastic this season,

Moresche looks fit when you see him on socials but agree he will probably take some time so next season will be more of a focus.

Who is the ultimate authority for when he has to be back on our books and Kaltak (or someone else...) has to step aside?

If it's managed by the Mariners, I can see why Monty is downlplaying his fitness as it in is our interest to have an in form Kaltak vs an unknown and possibly not match fit Moresche.

The longer we can keep his recovery going the shorter his integration period will be.

Itll coloured by how we're going as he gets closer to 9months/Feb. I'd say if we're still going good in 3-6weeks they'll just keep pushing him back.
If we start scratching for goals, he might come back before April/may.

What’s up with Ayongo? Seems like it’s been a bit since he played and I don’t recall him being on any official injury list.

We're definitely in need of more attacking options on the bench so hopefully he is back soon or we're bringing someone else in.

In the post presser Monty confirms a hamstring injury and says he'll need to fight his way back into the squad as his fitness improves.
I really like what Monty said, just because you are a Visa player you still have to earn your spot back. He will get his chance but everyone is playing well at the moment. Monty also mentioned the stomach bug is still lingering in the team. My son had it for an almost two weeks so the team have done well managing that little disruption.

If we have a little bit of cap space from Garang leaving I wouldn't mind seeing us offer a senior minimum wage contract to Jaiden Kurcharski or Nicholas Milanovic. Both are currently on Scholarship deals.

He’s definitely injured, been mentioned in match commentary etc
It is annoying the club still doesn’t give exact details on injuries though. I thought he did his ankle

Inside sport reporting South Gosford FC could be wanting to go the Full Monty...
Yeah good luck with that.
monty lives and breathes the coast, everything that’s happened over the last few years with the youth coming through can for the most part be attributed to him and his assistants. It’s his project and it’s just the start.

Was a hammy, got the feeling he is close to fully recovered however has to earn his way back into the side. Silvera put a good case forward against the Reds for keeping his spot. Ayongo probably wouldn't be a bad option from the bench for a while, shows great energy and could be a handful against tired defences.

I also have no problem with him having to earn his start again. Creates healthy competition and a stronger team.

Very cool that we loose 3 pretty key players that set up a good foundation for us in preseason and start of season and we still go wollop Adelaide 4-0.

Wonder if we can back it up or whether Adelaide just weren’t on their toes.
