Before that he was not to blame for any.
Early in that game he got chipped by Krishna, he was out but the ball was quite slow and high. IMO he had at least a half decent chance to get back and scramble for it but he gave up. Even if it’s only a 10% chance I want to see him trying to get on that, show the fans you care a little bit.

And I agree with what the others are saying, compared to the other starting keepers he looks slow to react in general and rarely comes out to the ball.

Yeah..not real impressed by this signing. Better be squad filler only, or else he needs to explode out of the blocks with ongoing and massive improvement

Yeah not ideal. At face value you’d expect he’ll be fighting for game time behind Murray, Simon and ideally a proper first choice striker.

If anyone wants to see the proof of the impressive highly technical youth boys we have on our books go over to the NSW NPL Facebook if you can. They did a stream of our boys this arvo. 4-0 win, Ruiz-Diaz hat trick and Kek’s pen.
Ruiz Diaz first was an absolutely f**king incredible free kick. I’d be handing him a contract at half time off his recent form and then that free kick as the icing on the cake.
Lewis Miller look supreme at CB with Glassock, showing extremely high technical ability. Sign him up ASAP. Has clearly shot ahead of Glassock. (Not a dig at Glasso)

For me, it just further solidifies that we need to have our 13-14, max 15, senior players and our back ups being our excellent youth boys. Blood them! Throw them in the deep end and watch the exceptional ones swim.

Just a side note, found it f**king hilarious that Simon Hill said 5 times lastnight that Ruiz Diaz was with WSW last NYL season when he was f**king obviously with us. It doesn’t take much to find that out. Fox need to step their game up. There’s 10 teams. It’s not a big deal to research these things.
re:Ruiz, spose if your dad's best mate is Stajic's offsider your football career just gets a tad cruisier!!!!!

Prefer we went hard for Krishna.
Not even in the same conversation or mutually exclusive. Krishna may well be on marquee wages next season wherever he ends up. Majok will be a squad player/depth. Most likely means we won’t be looking to pick up any external youth/npl forwards.

I’m still in the “why?” camp but it’s probably a case of bringing in a squad player that’s already up to speed with A league level fitness. Hopefully we put in a low ball offer as WSW are looking to clear out a lot of players.

I wonder why the majok signing when we've got youth guys and there's plenty of NPL guys to look at.
We've always needed to utilise our youth set up, since day 1, why do we keep shitting on them?

Majok if true is an excellent pickup in the sence of potential and he is an under 23 Australia player. We need these types of players.

Staj is right about being fast, he is definitely a handful in that regard with height as well

Only problem is he is shit with his feet.

At only 20 there is a potential athlete but he needs to be dribbling every day and shooting every day for those two years.

we need footballers not athletes. no point being fast with shit feet. Didn't we just learn that lesson #BOLT

I can not see the reasoning behind this decision. Even on minimum wage of 60/70k his skill level should be a scholarship/homegrown spot.

Only explanations is we are already starting to panic based on the interest we have had in the club.
We will not land a marquee, decent striker/winger.
Or we think we are going to onsell these u23 players like Rowles/majok, etc in a couple of years and make some $$$.
(Which is unlikely at best)
Or we are going to onsell Simon as a strong bench player as he was for Sydney.

Either way I believe another penny pinching decision to cut corners, instead of utilising the scholarship and homegrown system whereby you can spend outside the cap.

Very frustrating already.
I hope Staj was not part of this decision otherwise I doubt his forward thinking and tactical recruiting ability as in understanding the cap and influencing the club decision makers.

I watched him a bit on Saturday because of our supposed interest (still just rumours - especially since Rallis is the basis of most Covert Agent articles). He is big and reasonably quick and gets into good positions. However, his touch on the ball is very patchy, good at times, terrible at other times. He snatched at a huge chance that could have made us very nervous if he hit the target. Squaddie at best - but we need to do better.

I don’t rate it at all. The open goal miss on the weekend was laughable.
He isn’t much better than the youth boys we have in the same positions if he’s going to be a squaddie. Promote our own youth that have been in our system for a few years, show that we genuinely promote Aussie youth again so the highest calibre youth players see us as the best option AGAIN.

And if he’s going to be a regular, f**king give us the spoon for next season when we get this years one. I get why he’d be signed on paper.

Not the signings we need for rebuild #4

I think we have some good wingers in the youth (if that his what he is being signed as) but Smylie looks to have a way to go as as a striker if that what he is being signed as.
