ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

So the news about Charlesworth withdrawing from the club puts some context on not making Duric an offer and possibly a number of our higher earning off contract players. Lock in the kids which are cheap if they need to be paid out and might be viewed as an asset but not take on any expensive players.

So it's sounding like Simon might still play a little next season?
The more this season went on the more I started to value him again, and last night he looked really dangerous.
I'm concerned about him taking up too much of the cap again though.

I daresay the accounting gets a bit complex when you have players holding both a player and a staff role as well.....

I wouldn't worry about the cap. Just the overall spend of the club really.

If we’re around next season, Olly has been heavily linked with a return to us.
I would love nothing more than for that to happen.
it’s common knowledge he returns to the coast every chance he gets. Trains with Tim Knight to stay fit and has trained with our NPL lads in the past too.
Great signing if we last that long.

Would love to see it, but don’t see it happening unfortunately - he still massively harbours hopes for a deal OS.

And ofcourse he’s still more than good enough to be a regular at a high level. I wouldn’t be shocked if he gets picked up by a good euro team again tbf.
I just would really love to shed a single very, very happy tear reading an “olly returns!” Article.

I loved him and Judas on both wings in our prime. But he isn't that good anymore in reality. Would i like to see him back...yes i would but only on a sensible contract. But he would be far better than Oar was.

theoretically he’d be the ideal partner to stens and/or nizzy in midfield and can operate as a 10.
his winger days have been gone since during our title winning season.
it’s nice to already be strongly linked to a solid signing during this crazy time. We’re usually clutching at straws for months.
