My thoughts on Harold & GG:
GG looked set to be a key piece of the puzzle in preseason but that hasn’t been the case since he came back. A good versatile player to have but hasn’t had the impact we were hoping for and losing minutes behind Stens, Kim and potentially now Nisbet to contend with. Would have been happy for him to stay but if the right opportunity came up and we have bigger issues to address it makes sense.

Harold is an odd choice and adds to a convoluted striker pecking order. Where does he sit with Muzz, Simon and Jair. Probably zero chances of us seeing Majok now. Let’s see what he can do for us anyway.

I’d say Harold is more of a replacement for Silvera than the strikers.

Not an odd signing for me. We are light on right sided players

Not odd if we are intending on using him out wide, more so if he’s a striker because we have a few options but no clear stand out. Even with 2 strikers the 4 of them aren’t all going to see minutes every week and that’s without considering the youth guys.

Quick right footed winger with a decent cross - better than what we have out there. Complete disinformation by CCM calling him a striker (although the normies on FB seem to lap it up).

Ok, both GG and Harold were total surprises to me. If Healthy Harold can beat his man and put in an accurate cross then we're ahead of where we were

If you watch the video his agent put together he can score too...... with his head too!

So he's like a right sided Connor Pain by the looks of it.

But then again it could be a swapsy with Perth. Perhaps they needed a midfield / defender for cover.
We should know soon enough.

It’s possible depending on who they are leaving home out of Wuthrich and Juande but Victory would make more sense to me. They’ve sold Deng and Hoogland is an injury magnet. I’d imagine they’ll want to take Toivonen and Rojas which leaves them with 1 foreigner between their two mids and injury prone CB. GG can play either of those roles.

Also you know if you go to the Perth midfield Poppa is playing his kids before you.

GG no loss at all, error and foul prone in a team like ours was a liability, seems like a good guy, wish him the best.
Chris Harold geez we really are scraping the bottom of the barrel, hope to be proven wrong

Yeah definitely, I’m happy about it, been worried about this position since the beginning of the season. No pace, looked unbalanced and a shame not to have a better ally for Miller. Silvera had a handful of good minutes there but I actually think Ruiz Diaz’s cameo probably looked the most natural. Harold’s pace alone makes him more dangerous than our other attacking players imo. And I’m very happy to lose a DM and gain another attacking option.

Jair might prove to be what most seem convinced of, but whatever the case, at least there’s been effort in signing him and now Harold to try and do whatever they can to try and bolster our attack.

GG disappointed me. Challenges well and energetic, but does not think quickly, and makes far too many bad decisions for my liking. Had my fill of professional footballers who can’t seem to reliably pick a pass and needlessly give away possession. And Nisbet, Kim, Milan and Stens are all deservedly in front of him. Good business moving him on imo.
