ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Cheers, that's one narrow selection basis...

It's one College conference (out of many). There are a bunch of different conferences that organise intervarsity sports. You can get lost in a deep wiki-hole reading about them.

I went for a google and found an article saying he wasn't performing and they were threatening to release him if he didn't score (which he didn't end up doing). From his Twitter account it sounded like he wasn't renewed (his tweets also got very sad around the end of the season). He's back in his hometown of Manchester and it seems like he will be staying there.
I agree Wombat think he would be a good signing if we can't get anyone else.

I'm sad for him. Great feet and can finish but never looked totally match fit and hungry. Maybe superstar at State League is his level?

Modern game is so fast/agile and playing direct is out of fashion for the bulk of sides - almost something that had become contemptible. As a result I think the days of being a big heavy target man as a forward have largely gone.

Those big men who have succeeded up front in the past decade are required to also be exceptional athletes like zlatan or Drogba types... or otherwise in this day an age they're largely just centre halves, DM's and keepers. You could literally see it changing and leaving behind players like Heski and a host of other forwards.

St Mirren sit last of the ten Scottish Championship (Scotland Tier 2), seven points adrift of the relegation playoff placed Ayr United and eleven points behind currently safe Dumbarton. Fourteen games remain for St Mirren to lift themselves out of the relegation spots.

Malick Mané finished the 2016 Kazakhstan Premier League Season with 13 goals for his club FC Taraz this placed him fourth in the golden boot for the Kazakh competition, 9 goals behind golden boot winner Gerard Gohou. He couldn't, however, save his club from relegation and FC Taraz will spend the next season in the second tier of Kazakh football.

Trent rumoured to be going to Inter

According to Sky Sport, after Andrea Ranocchia's departure (he's undergoing medicals at Hull City), Inter will replace him with a new central back: Trent Lucas Sainsbury, 25 aged from Jiangsu Suning. Sainsbury is an Australian player but he has an English passport.

Edit: Some reports are saying a loan

Holy sh*t!

I know the Italian league isn't what it was but that's still a pretty big move - from China and from Eredivise!
