ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Mariner stuff not worthy of a whole thread

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
How was it Davey?
We were meaning to go then forgot about it.
Then we went to look at a Penthouse in Point Fred but roads were closed down by the stadium. We cut back around to Iggys and pushed in only to be held up by the boat ramp by heaps of coppers and Queen's baton vehicles.
Looked impressive and was well organised.

Penthouse was a Meh so we wont be neighbours mate.
yeah, it was good, lots of fun for kids and the baton exchange was almost civil , the runners were fine but the loudmouth MC could of turned it down a notch or 15....as for not being neighbours ...awww, that sucks

Hey guys, sorry if this has been discussed already and I’m also too lazy to research but can someone tell me if the two dutchies have been on the park together at all in this run of 10 without a win?

Feel like the whole system breaks down with out that partnership on the park.
I love watching the team play this year with those two on fire but to prove he’s taking us to the next level I think Okon has to develop the next player who can slot in for either Dutch boy.

Thoughts?

It certainly doesn’t help same happened last year when we lost Tavares.
However we have had chances and it’s the finishing that lost those games imo

Remember when: Mariners break Grand Final curse
Beaten in their TWO previous Grand Final appearances, Central Coast Mariners entered the 2012/13 decider wary of again being a footnote to another team's treasured success.

Western Sydney Wanderers had been the fairytale story throughout their debut Hyundai A-League campaign, claiming the Premiers' Plate by three points and going 13 games unbeaten on the way to the big stage.

This, however, was to be the Mariners' time as they avenged their trio of defeats to prevail 2-0 and win the championship for the first time.

Graham Arnold's men only had to wait until the 44th minute to make the breakthrough, veteran defender Patrick Zwaanswijk heading in Michael McGlinchey's corner.

And they were well and truly on their way in the 68th minute, Daniel McBreen sending Ante Covic the wrong way from the spot after Jerome Polenz handballed inside his own area.

Unlike their heartbreak against Newcastle Jets, the Mariners held firm through a Mat Ryan clean sheet to see out the long-awaited triumph.

Anton Tagliaferro already owns a club in Malta. I googled him to see where he was based.
I was wondering if we would be relocated to Melbourne. However it says his offices are in Sydney. So hopefully stay here, or maybe a new southern Sydney franchise?

Anton Tagliaferro, investment director with Investors Mutual, says both soccer and funds management require plenty of preparation to win.

Not many Australians own soccer clubs overseas, but you're the president and owner of Maltese Premier League club Balzan FC. How did that happen?

I was born in Malta and played for the Balzan under 19s before I left to study accountancy in London. We won a couple of league titles, but really I was a pretty average player. Ten years ago I was in Malta and walking through the village square where there's a 500-year-old church and the team's clubhouse. I walked in and the first person I saw was the guy who coached me 30 years earlier. I asked him how things were going and made the mistake of uttering those four fateful words 'how can I help?' So it went from there.

I think the link is paywalled..... right click and open in private window.

Tim Sherwood probably wants the Lee to buy the club so he can get his next coaching gig.

Wow.

I was in a box at the roar game and there were a few blokes from Swindon Town there...didn't think that might be why!

If MC is actually considering any of these propositions it would explain not buying any big$ signings in in January

So then, the COE?
At a fans forum MC said it was vital to be built. He foresaw a time when there was no salary cap in the A League.
He said it would be a way of providing money to compete with the others.
Will the COE be included in the sale. I would hope so.

I think that should be discussed in the new thread
