I find vegemite is like cricket. If you weren't raised on it, it's pointless trying to explain to people why you like it.
I was recently on cruise to NZ and next to me at breakfast were some Canadians. The woman had porridge and was starting to add Vegemite as she thought that's how it was to be eaten, stupidly I interfered and told her it was for toast etc to which she promptly tasted a quarter of a teaspoon. Yep she gagged.

I was addicted to crunchy peanut butter until I found Blessed & Lucky Cinnamon Spice Nut Spread:

I was horrified that Kraft bought them out recently. But thankfully they haven't tinkered too much with the recipe:

My other addiction is five:am coffee bean yoghurt for breakfast, topped with some Carman's Gluten Free Mueslie:

Where did this concept of "get into the sea" originate from? I've never heard of it until very recently... and it's only you drongos that use it. Is it an English football thing?

Yes, I understand the sentiment, but I'm more interested in the origin. I've never head anyone use it until I started seeing it on this forum... and a couple of other CCM fans on twitter.

It reportedly came from a set British comedian Stewart Lee did about UKIP in 2013 (language warning):

Cheers!!! :tv:

NOW I understand... it's not an insult, per se,... what you're doing is encouraging the best and brightest to get back into the sea to make it "aquatically prosperous"... yes?

Heffernan signs with Goulburn Valley Suns

Jordan Kounelis May 21, 2016

Goulburn Valley Suns have rocked the NPL world with the signing of English striker Daniel Heffernan.

Heffernan was cut by the Central Coast Mariners at the end of the 2015/16 A-League season after crossing from top flight NPL club Heidelberg United.

He joins the Shepparton club having previously played 17 games for Shepparton SC in 2012 – the season before the inception of the Suns – and now makes a return to country town he first settled in upon arrival in Australia that year.

The striker was training in Bali after his release from the Mariners but now joins the Suns as a replacement for Craig Carley who signed with Hume City.

Heffernan, who celebrates his 29th birthday this Wednesday, spent three seasons at Heidelberg and dominated the NPL competition as one of the most clinical strikers in Victoria, scoring 50 goals in his 66 games with the Bergers, which included 14 last season for a third-place finish in the Golden Boot award.

His standout season in the league was mirrored in the FFA Cup as he helped Heidelberg reach the quarter-finals against Melbourne City, although wasn’t able to partake in the fixture having already signed with the Mariners.

Earlier in his Heidelberg tenure, the striker finished third in the State League 1 best and fairest award and helped Heidelberg earn promotion back into the first division.

Although Heffernan courted offers from both Sydney and Melbourne, his return to Victoria seemed imminent – it was only a matter of which club he’d join, and moreover which club still had vacant visa positions.

Joining an NPL2 club was barely speculated, but having recently lost their supreme striker in Carley, the Suns put themselves in pole position to claim the signature of Heffernan.

Goulburn Valley are looking to turn their season around after going on a four-game losing streak between rounds seven and ten, but have since earned four points from their last two outings and will hope for another

I went down to Richmond yesterday to watch the Western Mariners v Hawkesbury.
It`s a good concept to see such an affiliation but it would be even better if we could loan them a few Youth players to help them in the competition.
Also now that our comps are over some coaching sessions out that way with the players would really drive the partnership as well

Not sure if this is the right thread but Fox reporting that Roar may be in trouble.

CEO and owners back in Indonesia and off the grid.

They could also be on holiday so we will have to see.
