ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Blackadder, I've been to a Crimson Tide match against Ole Miss about four years ago. Awesome stadium, the best I had ever been to up until going to Bayern Munchen's new stadium at 06 v Brazil. Went tailgating two days before the game, the whole nine yards. Still wear my Crimson Tide shirt and cap.

Enjoyed the game, terrible atmosphere though. More noise in an Alabama Baptist church service.

Have you been to a game over there?

Background: Currently working as a Payroll Officer with Regional Express Airlines. I have been following the Mariners since day 1 (I used to follow Wollongong Wolves and then Carlton FC before them in the old NSL) but have only managed to get to a couple of games, the New Years Eve match against Melbourne last season and the GF. I am hoping to get to few more this season, as well as trying to get to some of the ACL matches next year. I also follow Man U in the EPL, St George in the NRL & Carlton in the AFL.

Interests: Watching all sports on TV, not into playing many. Collecting Phantom Comics. Playing the odd game of Warhammer socially with mates. And sampling the odd beverage at the local drinking holes in Wagga.

Welcome aboard Geaghs. :pirashoot:

ditto

i managed to catch carlton v breakers at olympic park december 27, 1999

i know the date well because i flew into mebourne boxing day and it was 44 degrees - an hour later it was 18 degrees and did not get above 20 for a week

the next day my mate and i went to the cricket at the mcg and watched brett lee on debut make 30 odd not out in the morning and get three wickets in the afternoon, including nearly getting a hattrick

we then walked over the bridge to olympic park and watched a 1-1 draw and being one of very few breakers supporters there

my mate got us in the post match function with free beers where breakers' coach lee sterrey invited us back on the team bus for more beers and pizza at their hotel

after many beers from owner david hall the players and ourselves went to crown casino to gamble and drink more

ended up late in the night sharing a blackjack table and scotch with andy harper who played for the breakers at the time

all in all, that was a most excellent day in my life
