ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I did my postal last week. Has any form of electronic voting at a federal level been discussed?
If I can do it in NSW I ought to be able to do it for all elections
Reduces fraud too
Oh, carry on

I agree that it is logical, but given the ability of hostile regimes like Communist China and Russia to interfere in others' elections/hacking, as well as non-government data theft and manipulation I am happy to keep things as they are. Lets not even mention own goals like Census website crashes and My Health.

Problems encountered in local government elections. How would we know - we don't have those

Me too. Around midday. Met the Labor candidate and Senator O’Neil.

Asked the Liberal guy where Lucy was. He said she wasn’t there but there in the morning. I replied “Oh, I’m not talking about this morning, I was referring to the last nine years”.
I voted around 16:00.....

As I posted earlier have close to a 100% record when voting in both state and federal elections... and changed my vote to labour ....

I have no party loyalty, I have no personal loyalty to any elected official, although I did like Hawke & Glady ...

Killer line in a debate in Darwin, between Peter Dutton and his ALP counter part in defence...

I am quite surprised labour has not used it more...

Dutton, had all the facts and figures, stats coming out his arse... he seemed in total control and was over talking at times the labour spokesperson.

Then the killer line, left Dutton jaw dropping to the floor and totally won the day...

Labour guy said or close to this... in 2014 the Labour party established a military base in Darwin for 2,000 US marines... in 2015 the Libs sold the port of Darwin to the Chinese...

Do you have to prove why you are voting early, never voted before. I have seen the list for reasons you can vote early and I don't have any reason just wanted to get it out of way before the crowds arrive. Thanks in advance.

They don’t ask but maybe have an excuse. I was ready with a “I have to volunteer at my soccer club all day” as a reason.

My wife is working all day so had to.

Polling in The Aus giving 80 seats to Labor. Here's hoping.

Large margin of error but. 4%
If that is the you gov poll it is using a different methodology than has been used in Australia before. It picked a UK election almost perfectly but was nowhere near it over the following 2 elections.

The Coalition are being very strategic in their seat promises.

I suspect this election is very close with ALP seats going to the Coalition and the Greens and Coalition seats going to the ALP, Independents and possibly even the Greens. I think the least likely result is a Coalition majority but a Coalition minority or ALP minority still looks to be the most likely scenario with a ALP majority slightly less likely.

Yeah I'm more leaning to ALP minority with at least 1 green seat in brissy and a couple of new indies. In particular it looks like Josh is dead in kooyong.

Pity Cook won't swing against the Cnt in power.

Reminds of the time I was voting in a nice church hall in leafy Wahroonga (Bradfield?). The incumbent was Philip Ruddock who was still some years away from his more evil self, but was never involved in debate and barely mentioned in parliament - absentee MP of the first water. He happened to turn up as I was voting and was chatting away nicely to the old ducks who just adored him.

He went to shake my hand so I grabbed his paw and asked: "When's the last time you had a question recorded in Hansard?"

He went completely blank and was gratifyingly incoherent in his response. Had to drag his hand away also, as I grinned at him.

The Libs could put up a steaming pile of dog turd in Bradfield, and it would still win by a landslide.
