If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

How do you solve a problem like Kim???

What should Moss do?

It's quite a different shape of team we might put out then - as someone (sorry can't remember who - but I'm giving credit whoever it was!) posted earlier it'd be nice to see us flip the triangle around and go attacking early:

------------------Reddy-------------
Roux - Anderson - Rose - Neill
----------------- Hutch ------------
---------- Trifiro - Caceres -------
Fitz ------------------------ Vernes
---------------- Duke ---------------

Have a sneaking suspicion we might see Simon though. Could see (another) shape change:

------------------Reddy-------------
Roux - Anderson - Rose - Neill
----------------- Hutch ------------
---- Fitz - Caceres - Vernes -----
------ Simon ---------- Duke -----

This would be something similar to how we played with Amini back in the day.

That was me:) Thanks for the credit dibo. Both these line ups would be great. I have a feeling Moss might be scared to risk Simon starting coming off an injury. I think he will start from the bench and cause havoc. Doesn't mean we couldn't end up with that second formation in the second half though.

I don't think Simon will start coming back from injury, The only change I would make would be Poscoliero for Anderson

Yes....agree with you Pat.
Ando was in decent form when dropped but has been poor since he returned.
Why oh why didn't we sign Beauchamp in the off season.

Kim Seung-yong moves on from Mariners

Central Coast Mariners can today advise that the club has terminated South Korean attacker Kim Seung-yong’s contract by mutual consent.

Kim, who scored in last weekend’s 3-3 draw with Brisbane Roar and celebrated with the club’s fans and his teammates with gusto and pride, has an opportunity to play closer to his homeland and family which he is keen to pursue.

The former Gamba Osaka and Ulsan Hyundai playmaker has been a model professional since joining the yellow and navy in February 2014.
Kim scored twice last campaign – including an impressive free kick at home to Sydney FC – and once this season, and also featured for the Mariners against one of his former clubs, FC Seoul, throughout the 2014 AFC Champions League Group Stage.

A popular member of the playing squad, Kim leaves the Mariners with the best wishes of everyone involved with the club.

Kim is due to depart Sydney for Seoul on Saturday. ENDS

The goal has changed what would have been universally praised into some what of a poop-storm on facebook. A lot of people saying that he would have done well if given game time. I am off the opinion that he would have done better if played purely as a winger instead of as a ten, but hey. Say la vee, I guess.

Lets just hope we are going to make a move for a Wilko return hahahaha.

wow, after playing him AND him scoring I thought the plan from the club was to keep on with him.

I am happy for the opp to re-recruit though

and that I guess was that

I just hope that we are announcing the leavers because we have arrivers to the club ! Annie was talking about how hard it's been to secure talent in January and his chequebook will undoubtedly be bigger than ours. Hopefully Storrie has booked three plane tickets out here to bring a 9 and 10 out here with him !

I want to wish Kim all the best for the future. He was a popular player amongst the playing group and upheld the values of the club.

I was never really sold on Kim as a player. Technically, he was sound. He laid on some beautiful passes on the edge of the box for player to run onto. I will always remember the pass he laid of to Roux who then sent it to Bernie to give a win in the dying minutes against WSW last year. It was sublime.

He was just too soft when it came to the Australian game... particularly the way the Mariners play it. Last week for instance, he went up for a contested header and his arse was closer to the ball than his head. I hope he finds a league where his skill set is given a chance to shine.

Did we play him last two games to gid rid of him. Was his new opportunity wanting to see him play before they agreed.
Doesn't matter much but why put him back in the line up if they knew he was going.
Another confusing mossy decision.
He was alright as a second half sub and was maybe better suited once the physicality had gone out of the game. But for a import we want more than that. He came with plenty of fan fare. Should glimpses but not overly disappointed to see him moved on.
Now Vernes and start again?
