ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

. at the risk of appearing to jump on the bandwagon ... i agree

. i have taken the 'wee' prefix to ridiculous (obsessive) levels with a wee matt, pat and mac ... my first thoughts on seeing rose overlapping in a mariners shirt were that we had a wee-heff on our hands - but soon realised that would be an unfair tag

. a willingness to take players on and the speed and legs to recover ... were key heff attributes (particularly in v1) but unfortunately petty aggression was starting to cause a few problems and it started to dominate his game. rose appears to have a better balance to his game

. earlier in the season i had called for a few goals to start coming from left back ... just like season 1. since we still haven't heard of SP signing a guest stint - surely the timing is right for one or both of our strikers to start banging them in

To really have any realistic chance of winning this comp, the strikers need to start scoring regularly.

Simon has three, McBreen two and Kwassie two so it is not as if the strikers have not been potting goals. Especially as the golden boot for the league has six currently.

I don't want to ride our strikers. We still have a couple of games in hand for them to score in and I personally think a lot of the scoring issue likely has to do with combination play and balance.

But the fact is that ADL's top striker has 6 goals and their second 4 goals.
Thats twice as many verse our top two.
They could clearly be more consistent or prolific in their scoring Mick.
On current performance levels Matty is on target for scoring 7 or 8 - And Mcbreen is on target for 5 or 6.
In 27 rounds, thats just not enough in my opinion.

Whereas Van Djik who you referenced is on target for 15 or 16 goals by himself.

Hopefully this big home run will see our strikers becoming more prolific.
