ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Premiership comes first to me. But losing those Grand Finals was like losing a Big Cup final and these games take longer to get over so I'd prefer not to go through that pain again.

Having lived all my life so far in Australia and being immersed in the culture of finals, for me a Grand Final win is it. It's nice to win the Premiership, but for me the job's not finished then. In this country, the GF winner is the team that's remembered. We all remember (even those like me who didn't follow football then) the GF between Smurfs and CCM in season 1, but who honestly remembers who was Premier that year?
The other thing about a finals series is that it gives an exciting finish to a season which can otherwise be over weeks before the last round - like last year and potentially this year. The biggest crowd for the season at Suncorp was on GF day.
For me, and for many more Australians like me, give me finals. I couldn't care less about being the most consistent team through the season, I want to win the Grannie.

For me personally winning the Premiership is the most important. It truly shows who the best team is and is just reward for the effort put in throughout the season proper. The finals series only exists because that is how it has been done in other sports in this country since the beginning and for some reason we followed along. Don't get me wrong though, I am desperate for us to win a Grand Final. I have been at all three so far and I have felt the pain of the defeats. At this point in time I think it is more important for the club and the players to get the monkey off the back and win the GF. No reason we can't do both :eek:verhead:

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
I "want" a G.F win, just because of our run with the damn things.... but the Premiership is more important as it shows how you went over the season

Prem over GF as a season in football shouldnt be decided over one game. However, seeing the scum bags have one I want a GF win to shut them up and change my avatar name to Mariners > Jets. (It is already true however the GF will end the debate).
