ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

jeez - first (and last) time I'll use up bandwidth visiting that particular site. Such informed opinions, and so eloquently worded....

Substitute Evertonians for Jest fans, Gary Neville for Joel Griffiths and apparently this is a pretty accurate recreation of Newcastle pubs at about 6pm on Sunday evening...

The weeping and gnashing of teeth is brilliant. Couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch...

I think the mature thing to do at this point is to turn our backs on Newcastle., stop calling them scum, which is ridiculous anyway (what, we're urbane, wealthy and aristocratic?), and take the attitude that we don't have rivals, only challenges to our supremacy.
They're just Newcastle, they don't stimulate any emotions.

I know what you're saying. But you can't deny that had we lost on Sunday they would be going into overdrive on social media and their forums, ramping up the level of crap they have been giving us for ages. In 2011 after the Grand Final, they were talking about buying Roar jerseys and waiting for our boys at Newcastle Airport. They made an entire TIFO display dedicated to McBreen's missed penalty kick in the decider against the Roar. Their fans list the 2011 Grand Final as one of their greatest moments supporting the A-League. A match their team wasn't even involved in! They (well, one vocal Jest fan on 442) used to give us crap because they had accumulated more points in the ACL than CCM. Then we beat their aggregate. They held the Grand Final record over us for a long time, constantly reminding us that they won it once (even though it was over 5 years ago). Whenevver we pointed out why winning the Premiership was a bigger achievement they would respond with "Haha silly gypos just cause you've never won the Championship, you don't know what it's like. We do! 24/2/08. Forza Newy!" (I do paraphrase a bit, their spelling and grammar generally reflects why dropping out in Year 9 is a bad idea). That was the last thing they had over us, and now it's gone. They can't even try to pretend they are in any way a superior team to us because every last reason they had to defend has been taken away.

And if the collective butt-hurt of that mob doesn't make Sunday's victory a little bit sweeter, I don't know what does...

Yes, and that's highest level they've ever reached! :vomit:

Ever wondered why they called their club the Jets? Because they would have trouble with more than one syllable. Hence the heavy use of single syllable swear words.

I love that on the Scum forum, they have a thread dedicated to laughing at us (or what they think constitutes laughing at us, you know you're in trouble when that Kanye obsessed, 442 tosspot pv4 is held up as some sort of master troll) yet the thread has been strangely silent since 2:50pm last Sunday....

It's hard to be mature when talking about Newcastle.
We call them Scum because they are. It's not about wealth...it's about having some class.
90% of their support is Bogan scum.
The first season was probably the only time they haven't made dickheads of themselves.

Agree apart from this...

Their idea of banter was going on about the youth suicide rate on the Coast.

Their idea of a career is a job at Maccas or really just a job anywhere is a status symbol for a scummer....sadly the majority of them are ignorant c**ts but I do remember a couple of years ago chatting with about 8 of them at the imperial centre before a game and 7 out the 8 where decent blokes that actually knew their football.

Their website is a disgrace but if they dumped that faggot from kotara from the site the IQ of the place would double immediately.

The trouble is for the boys from Newy is they havent worked out that a diet of Buddha Express and Jim Beam doesn't make you the sharpest tack.

Season 1 away semi, adult scummer tried to fight my (then) 14yo daughter when he thought she was on her own

Lol
I hope you gave him the good news!
I remember some big fat arse scummer, about 6ft and115kg carrying on like a prawn in the semi when we beat them 3.0.
I gave him a spray, and this encouraged my wife(who is not used to, or very good at, the art of good natured banter)to lose it and give it to him about his love of pie shops much to my horror. I pulled her up and it calmed down abit apart from my son threating to tear fatty's son a new one....as like his dad he didn't know when he had bitten off more than he could chew.
At half time I tried to offer the big scummer a hand shake (I think we were only 1.0 up at that stage) and he told me I needed to reign in my family as they had all insulted him. I tried to explain that he wasn't a big mouth twat in the first place no one would have said boo to him.
I think at 2.0 up with my son now dancing inches in front of them, they left to lick their wounds.
That is typical of the interaction I've had with Scum supporters.
No other supporters have ever solicited this type of response from myself or my loved ones.

That is most certainly malicious work. There were plenty in Bay 3ly a case bouncing and jumping on seats (me included) with no breakages as far as I could tell.

Massive respect for WSW supporters, but RBB seem to be getting worse in the hooligan stakes. Big pity.

Not the case. As great as it would be for some of you and definitely the Cove to think this was done on purpose by those 'hooligan' RBB, it's simply not true. If you apply some logic and rationale you'll come to the same conclusion.
The seats are dislodged in rows, still attached to the metal bases that have come out of the concrete terrace (concrete rust?). It was purely accidental. Getting a bit sick of all the supporters on their high horse constantly apportioning blame to the RBB for every incident. Did you know that we started the war in Afghanistan?
