Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Lyall Gorman has been appointed Head of the Hyundai A-League, Football Federation Australia announced today.

Gorman will step down from his post of Executive Chairman of Hyundai A-league club the Central Coast Mariners and take up the position soon.

Lyall brings a wealth of experience to the position and in depth knowledge of football and sports management operations, Buckley said.

He will be a valuable support to me as we continue the Hyundai A-League expansion program and plan for a fantastic sixth season of our national competition.

Having been involved in the Hyundai A-League from the beginning, Lyall understands what it is like to manage a club at the coal face.

Gorman has more than 30 years of experience in senior management, project management and administration in both the Public and Private sectors and was formerly the head of a major sporting academy.

In November 2004 he took up the position of founding CEO and later Executive Chairman of the Central Coast Mariners, one of the eight founding clubs in the Hyundai A-League.

There is a real opportunity to add value to the sum of the parts of the Hyundai A-League and I look forward to working with all clubs, Gorman said.

Lyall will be a hard man to replace ... IMO he will do a great job... sad day for the Mariners good day for the A-League... I think more than anything else Lyall will bring methods of how to connect to the community and build deep roots into the football family...

The guy has been rewarded for almost killing himself to set the club up from scratch on v little money and in an NRLOL heartland. Its a fitting reward for what he did here

He will be a big help to the newer clubs and the basket cases.

Hopefully he will go after Con in a big way and keep the scum hate alive.

Assume he will need to divest himself of any stake in CCM to avoid potential conflicts of interest.

His resume is v impressive and if I was BB, I would sleep with 1 eye open ;-)

well done for Gorman!

Hopefully this helps our position inside the FFA???
A bit hopeful am I?
Just sick and tired of the mainly pro-Sydney, and slightly pro- Melbourne stances
Which also tend to be anti-mariner
