ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

As much as it's going to be awesome...it's dead in the middle of schoolies...

Which yes, fantastic for you chaps to hook up with under-agers...

But shit for accommodation...

Most of it will be booked, even now...

So I wonder if that means you're going to get a stack of drunken 17 and 18 year olds to the game?

Man, the media will love it if they start causing trouble...

50 times more police. 500 times more people. Any male Marinator over 21 being instantly spotted by said police as a "toolie" or whatever the term is.

No thanks.  Surely they could have just not given them a home game that weekend or made it against Wellington or Perth??

I thought that also. Bugger

Will have to stay with friends, or out of Surfers, like Southport to the north, Robina inland or south at say burleigh heads

I'm not concerned about drunken teens at the game. Its more finding a place to stay that's pissing me off.

Alicia and I are getting a list of people together atm for those who are DEFINATE yes... Going to put it to a travel agent or something to try and get a discount with a lot of non-schoolies people who might be able to do something for us.

If you def want in, PM me or Alicia. ASAP plz.

Do you honestly think they would Travel all the way to Robina instead of being on Cavill Ave?

Its a good time. Wont deny that.

Finding accommodation will just be tricky is all.

Exactly, accommodation will not be a problem as half the venues do not take schoolies and the people who would normally fill this accommodation will stay away knowing it is schoolies.

Prices in Surfers Paradise during that weekend range from $400 a night (one bedroom apartment) to $1200 a night for a 3 bedroom place.

Cooloongatta/Tweed is significantly cheaper, around the $175 to $400 mark.

Guessing it's the same ol' mantra of "Location Location".

Off topic but there is another nice football focussed weekend away north:

R11
- Sat 17 Oct  Brisbane Roar vs US at Suncorp
- Sun 18 Oct  Gold Coast vs Glory at Skilled

A shame that we don't have Roar and Gold Coast bookended ie. one of a Sunday and the other the next Friday

umm, why even bother with accom? anyone who has been there before (adz) can back me up here, there is MORE than enough to keep you occupied during the night hours, and the beach makes for an awesome bed at other times
