ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

In the article which carried that picture the first line of it refered to his hair and the similarity to Carlos Valderama. They basically said he is good but only at youth level.

In the telecast of the 'roos game this morning, Simon Hill said that Musty and his manager were meeting with Dortmund officials tomorrow. There is obviously some genuine interest on the German's behalf. As to what that interest entails is a mystery. I guess realistically it will be in some reserve team capacity... even so, it would be a huge sign of faith in the lad.

It's very exciting to have joined the ride right from the begining. Hopefully Musty will be a huge star in Europe in the years to come... and we can say "I knew him when...."

I wonder if the fact that Musti will be away for numerous Olympic and World Cup games is interfering with a Dortmund decision.
This situation will hit CC badly if he comes back and then is in and out of the team.(Makes sense that GA is looking for a versatile Mid)

From a CC point of view if he does come back they need to extend his contract other wise we will be paying for him to get expeirience and in march 2012 walk out as a free agent.

I don't believe that it would interfere with their decision. He would not be playing first team football there for a while and would be in their junior or reserves side (what their coach said). The price I heard bandied around in the German papers was a $350,000 transfer fee.

I think the better option would be to come back here sign a three year deal, get some more first team experience under GA the head overseas. He will (hopefully) be worth more then. Dare I say it I think one the ways this club is going to make money is by developing and selling our junior players. Another season or two how much will someone like Bernie, Matt, Duke or Sainsbury be worth? Makes a difference to the bottom line.

Something we would all like to know..

As Mustafa Amini and his afro wait with baited breath for word on a contract, a disinterested spectator takes in the action in Colombia.
Amini stars

Mustafa Amini, the Mariners’ young midfielder, has impressed Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp in his first few days at the German club.

According to Klopp, in an interview with RevierSport.de, “He is good enough to be considered a prospective future signing. He can definitely play football and is really a great talent”.

It would be nice if Klopp were a little bit more forthcoming. Is Borussia signing Amini or not?

This report translates (I think) that Musty has returned home and has not gone to Newcastle. It also says that Dortmund are still in contact with his reps.

These days, however, keep the training attendees in vain looking for the young Australian. However, this is not - as was initially planned - traveled to England where he wanted to introduce the Premier League club Newcastle United. Much more betrays Jürgen Klopp: "I know his travel plan, but to my knowledge he has flown to Australia."

However, the offensive left Allrounder quite a lasting impression on the coach of Borussia Dortmund. "We are in discussions with his advisers, "said Klopp, who praises. "In any case, he can kick. He can also kick so well that we could think of to bring him here."

The problem now is he has trialled overseas and may think that his interests are better served playing in reserve grade in Germany rather than first team football. I do hope we sign him up for a two or three year deal and sell him for a big fat paycheck.

. i think the bigger problem is that he won't want to sign a long term deal with the mariners because it will mean the germans will have to provide that big fat cheque (which may ruin his chances)

Lets face it the guy is quality. If he does not want to sign a long term deal who would blame him? If we have him for the remainder of his contract and then he goes off I would be happy and it will be a bonus.
