ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Six yard tap In. Hardly a return to form.
I we resign him on tonights game then someone has really lost their marbles.

Bloody sight better effort than the open goal he missed against Sydney -- he was in position, he got his foot to the ball, it went in. So in that respect you'd have to say an improvement in form.
Let's not be stupid here, of course he won't be resigned just on tonight's game. This is just one stepping stone, there are a lot more needed before he's invited to sign on again. He'll undoubtedly be given more opportunities as the season progresses. If he takes all those, works his arse off, knocks in some more goals then he MAY be offered another contract. Of course, he may not, he may no longer be part of Lawrie's future plans, we don't know yet. But for the good of the team, I hope his form will keep on improving for however many more matches he has with us.

The "tap in" was instinctive and thats exactly what you want from a 6 yard box predator.

We have been missing this since Sasho left.

To be fair, his overall play was poor. his work rate compared the the shift that Kwas and Matty put in was a bit ordinary and we start defending from the front. Leave Matty to do it all and you allow the other side back into the game.

Minus the likely Scottish swearing, this was possibly the point that Lawrie was making to him from the side line.

Two things i noticed about Nik's goal. Yes, it was an easy chance but he was in the right place and showed a good strikers instinct, knew where the goal was and just hit it first time. I think a month or so ago he would have thought about it too much and stuffed it up. Good sign. Secondly how happy were all the other players for him? If he was not putting in at training and not been a team player it would be hard to imagine them reacting like that. It was obvious they were delighted for him. Let's hope there are lot's more goals to come.

had to love boogs trying to celebrate and get in on the hug and just ended up head butting mrdja's arm over and over again

I actually thought Mrdja looked quite lively....of course he looks lazy compared to Matty....but to me he looked reasonably on his game and I did fancy him to score.
Hopefully he's turned the corner because although he has deserved the slagging he's kopped this season i'd much rather be giving him a pat on the back each week and urging LM to resign him.
This bloke was a quality striker and i'd love him to show some of that quality again and drive us through to our first ever grand final win.
