ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

DecVision an outrage. We got in and out of the ground no problems and pitch was immaculate. Not even a threat of flooding.

We heard at the ground that Palmer kicked up a stink to have it cancelled because there was going to be a very poor crowd. Arnold furious.

Players absolutely flogged at a training session instead at Broadbeach Soccer Club.

100% agree. I did not travel to the game but plenty of other fans did. This is a dog act by the FFA and Clive. The pitch was playable. As far as I am concerned gold coast should have been made to forfeit. Another black eye for the league and a game that has to be made up in an already sh3% schedule.

Surely people from flooded areas wouldn't attempt to get out to the game, so to suggest that as the reason for cancelling the game is laughable.
What about the Mariners supporters that paid for flights/accom,etc to be there are they going top be re-imbursed (not holding my breath)
To top it all off now a even more crowded scheduled because Palmer didn't want a low turn out. :soapbox:

More to the point when does an owner have right to say whether a match goes ahead or not. Like I said. The game should have been played or forfeited. The FFA and A League need to grow some kahunas. If this was the NRL they would have still gone ahead with the game. I am just so dirty over this decision, not to mention my fantasy A League team has been wrecked this week!

Game should have gone ahead with or without a decent crowd in attendance. Wouldn't be the first time there was no one at a GCU game...

I could not be more pissed off. I spent hundreds of dollars on flights, accommodation, train tickets, food, time off work on Friday etc all for nothing! I went to the ground and it was completely fine! They could have easily played the game!

I was pushing it to come anyway too as I'm pretty poor at the moment :(

f**k Clive Palmer. Guy might know how to run a business, but he knows sweet FA about running a football club.

Actually it mystifies me how he got to where he is, when it seems he has the reverse midas with dealing with real people. I suppose money does get you everywhere.

Yep, and does it really matter if there is 500 people there, or 2,000 people there?
Both are well below par...

i feel for ya mate. I was headed up there last year when the game was cancelled after 30min due to the pitch being flooded but our plane was running 2 hours late so we didnt go. I lost a few hundred on airfares

CB I hope you went to Roar v Scum...at least that would make you feel better...
Mariners have a weekend away & move another 3 points further in front of the Roar without even playing...lol .
How sweet is that? :eek:verhead:

Not if we lose too in the stupidly tight schedule we now have, maybe Sutton can play by then so not all bad

Don't get too cocky. We have never beaten Brisbane at home I believe. Hopefully we can do so on the 4th
