ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

How could you blokes hate us adorable lads here on the Goldie ?

Sure, hate the owner with the big mouth, hell even hate the "hollywood" coach...but the fans (whilst low in numbers) deserve some cred so far for putting up with all this shithouse back office rubbish.

Feel the love brothers...feel the love !!!

the fans are fine but the few bad eggs like gary lord above tars you all with the same brush

quite frankly i think the sydney supporters are way more arrogant than you guys but number one hatred is still with the scum

So as it stands the hatred of GCU is with:

1. Palmer and his ridiculous statements
2. Miron and his theatrics
3. Gary Lord and his blogs.

I can realte to that but there's no way you could hate our players.

Giggles in goals and Van Der Brink are like loveable cartoon characters.
Culina is a great player (playing average at the moment) but a national team lad
Thwaitey....sorry there no way you could dislike Thwaitey....although all that smiling would piss me off if I was an opposing player.

Just checked the fixture list and see were down at Bluey on Jan 22. Put aside time to have a cleansing ale with me....oh and a bet...must be in a PUBTAB.

How could you hate the scum, it is a revolving door up there, they have nothing to hate just pity and laugh at.

He's a fukcing whinging prick

Personally, I don't hate GC. The lads who made the trip down when we played them at home, playing 'Coming to America' over their mega - I can't hate that. Had a beer with  a couple of their lads after the match too, nice guys (memory is very hazy though TBH). FWIW I wouldn't piss on a bogan scum supporter to put them out, if they were on fire.
I probably would if they weren't on fire though.

I'd piss on a scummer if they were on fire- provided my bladder was a jerrycan and my urine was petrol...

Obviously the scum are my 1st hatred and the thought of them getting back to back spoons fills me with great joy.

However..................Fold Coast are a team I would dearly love to see completely f**k up and are the only one I wouldnt miss if they left the HAL.

Fat f**k of an owner, wanky arrogant fans (both of them), Culina....it just goes on.

Both ACT and Wollongong would have added to the HAL, these utter c**ts add nothing except an arrogance not displayed by real football clubs that actually have a record of success.

I hate Scum 100% and don't care too much about hating anyone else.

If I had to choose, I'd hate Victory more than Sydney FC, but still admire them for their level of support in AFL-land. Sydney are just a disgrace for not pulling more people in such a huge population base, but again, I admire the Cove for what it's trying to do.

I actually feel sorry for Gold Coast.

Having been there last weekend for the game, I was amazed that a Club have to hire hundreds of traffic control people to actually keep fans AWAY from getting near to the ground to park. I can now see why Palmer pulled the 5,000 limit stunt recently.

And what a soulless place is Robina, their home. Bloody glad I don't live there.

The thing with Sydney fans and us is that, as much as they enjoy beating us and we love beating them, we both appreciate that we have bigger foes to hate. In their eyes, at least we aren't the Tards, and in our eyes (generally) at least they aren't the Scum.

Is no contest really, with the jest you hate everything from the ground, the owner, the town, the coporate boxes above the away fans, the bomber squad, coach, Players and the majority of the fans.

The only club that comes close for me is the Furries. Never want to go back to that ground again.

Does Skilled Park need more palm trees ?
No.
The security around the stadium is over the top. It is in the middle of no where and it doesnt give the supporters an opportunity to build up the atmosphere in and around the stadium. I have to say that was the worst crowd i have ever seen in the A-League since its exception and i have been to quite a few games.

The stadium itself is amazing and the facilities are great. Gotta say that we saw more promotion for the new Gold Coast AFL team than united.

I thought once the FFA took over marketing from Clive that things would be better..I never hear a dickybird about games except for a few shopping centre appearances.
They've done plenty of damage with the public and its just gunna take time to fix.

The stadium is great but like suncorp and other new stadiums its severely over securitised (thats a new word i invented) and far too sterile.

Went down to Ethiad for the 4-0 pizzling a few weeks ago and every time I came back holding two beers the security nazi kept asking to see my ticket..fcuking ridiculous..i had a GC jersey on and a lifesaver cap on my head..like I was gunna be mistaken over 20,000 Melbournians.

The stadium is east to get to if you live on one of the two rail stadiums on the way north but other than that its a pain in the arse.

Mind you same situation for the NRL team and they get 20,000 per game..but much cleverly marketed.

If we don't get 10,000 for the boxing day derby against Roar I really do give up.

For the sake of the league I really hope so.
Developing other genuine derbies is key for growth.
I also hope Moore snots Culina's when he's whining...
Purely as it would help develop future derby tension you understand ;)

Please don't give up. Despite the problems, it's gotta be better than no A-League on the Coast to offer an alternative the the NRL knuckle-dragging no-necks and the AFL storks with their pants too high up their bum crack.

Understand what you're saying golfer, but you were back up to your normal crowds the game after the crowd cap. You didn't have much to damage. The GC hadn't generated reasonable support up to that stage and obviously the FFA and everyone else is finding just how difficult it's been and looks like continuing to be. Considering the Roars big drop in crowds the last 2 years, only just up the road from you, in hindsight it was going to be a struggle for a new club to gain a decent public following, with or without the cap saga.
It's going to be a long road for you blokes.
