Aside from a couple of things I commented on earlier, Simon's been playing well too, playing like a Captain -he's been everywhere.
Duric, I'd like to see him subbed off. He's been a complete liability in defence, been involved in both Roar goals and a few close calls and has been invisible in attack.

You know one thing I really don't like seeing?
Players blocking the ball but turning away at the last second. Result is that instead of a desperate block, you have a half-arsed movement towards the ball and they're restricting their own movement. Players at this level shouldn't be afraid of the ball (just looking at Odonovan's attempt to chip Biri).

Duric has done a lot of clearance headers and positioned himself well.
I think he’s gone under the radar and done a lot of work off the ball.
Fox and Ziggy working very hard under the radar as well.
I did expect Duric further up the pitch.
Good thing is there is a lot of room for improvement and tweaks for us, where Brisbane are pretty set in ways looks like.

The laws HAVE changed this season, yes - but the FFA cup would be playing under the old laws I'd think; that's usually the case for a competition that starts before the new laws come into effect.

It's our control I'm worried about. Seems to be getting better as the game goes on though. Game smarts still not quite what's needed for an a league side. Many poor decisions especially desilva.

yeah...between that and other unforced errors, this would be a big factor in why Roar seem to be dominating possession and we're spending a lot of the game on the back foot.
But for the most part we're keeping it calm and controlled.
