ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

smh....same defensive problem we've had for 3 years. Payers completely unmarked in the box. That's how WSW scored a goal.

Stajic and whoever is coaching the defence MUST figure out how to stop that.

Clisby and Fox tonight.... ick. They are not playing well together. Neither of them seem to have any idea where the other is or where they should be, left that entire side of the field undefended several times.

Kim, Oar and DDS...between those three, if they can learn each other we should have a potent attacking midfield.

But.....striker.

Birghitti looks like he's shitting bricks, really needs to calm down. Hopefully will come with played minutes...

Key notes for me from that half
Brisbane look like a league 2 side just like the visa players they’ve signed. Although I like brad inman.
Miller isn’t a RB but the effort is there, a couple decent crosses.
Ziggy has had a few scary moments.
And we look exactly as our team sheet does, very good with the ball in the middle. Shaky at the back at the half went on. And missing a cutting edge up front.

Duric is VERY good. I don’t think any of us realise the player we have on our hands yet.
Kim has expectedly been very good too. DDS is looking sharp but not as involved as i’d like.

BrisRecky

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
So, Captain Coastie got a pelanty...Dylan Fox had one minor brain snap but apart from that was alright , Muzz was iffy, Kim was mildly quiet , DDS was a bit out of sorts too , ziggy was cool , SO that’s what Duric does huh....well, not the missing by a couple of inches , the long range shooting bit".....and Clis got concussed ....so think we need Silvera on there after the break and maybe majok

Think your being a bit harsh mate. The defence has dealt with everything that they've been asked. Only one uncontested shot from a cross down the left and that was because of a desilva turn over not giving the defence a chance to retreat and being caught. The other free cross was when Clisby was off the field. Otherwise I've been fairly impressed with the ability to stay in shape and the work done by the mids getting back and helping out.

There were a couple more times when both Fox and Clisby were in the middle with a Roar player on our left with half a field to himself. Though one of them, not sure which, did a great job of running down an attacker over 50 yards from the other side of the field

Agree, none of the backline have played competitively together before. Fox hasn’t even trained a whole lot with the boys. They’ve had a couple shaky moments but nothing disasterous -touch wood-

Yeah after a switch from roar where we've tried to pin them. But they've adjusted after the switch and got in behind the ball. Exactly what you'd want from them

It's a lead, but Brisbane had the better chances. Think our lines are too far apart which means Roar have too much time on the ball. Need to make more things happen in attack. Defence has been ok, few dodgy moments but

f**k me dead. That was soft. I thought that the B'tti should have done better there. Completely lacked desperation....heck, I'm not convinced he couldn't have stopped it after it hit the post. Seemed to take a while to decide to go in.

He was marked, but stepped back and got a moment of space, which is all you need sometimes.
