ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Expansion thread

We can't afford the clubs we have and they are still talking about expansion and a second tier ??
Wishful thinking I know.
If the owners/APL are having financial problems, and if [a big IF] FFA come to the rescue in some way, it would be an excellent time for the FFA to twist their arms and get acceptance for relegation to and promotion from a second tier as a condition for its aid.

There is no way the gong or any other current Aus expansion prospect has the money behind it Auckland does and the ability to bring more $$ to the league via an improved Sky deal. Financially it's a no brainer.
true , but its hardly fair to the players , they win the whole APL shooting match but cant play in the AFC (which will save the owner a ton of coin, so swings and roundabouts)

Given Auckland’s introduction to the league, it’s about time NZ players weren’t considered as visas for Aussie teams, especially and Aussie players aren’t considered as visas for NZ teams.
Is shagging sheep compulsory? Because i know Recky is willing to come out of retirement for the right sweetener! Dutchies dont just like cheese......they love a bit of lamb!

I dont think they'll really care. Dont get me wrong I want Aus teams to do well in Asia but its way down the priority list.
