ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

E-Group Security Complaints

Fair dos at least no bottle caps are getting through.
EGroup 's reputation must precede them because those guys on Tuesday came and stood next to us and were clearly out to fight security. I've seen them before and one of them likes ro shout out "incite a riot" as chants die down.

Biggest crock of shit i've ever read on this site....and that takes some beating!

EXPLAIN YOUR DRIBBLE?

Security bought out the tunnel cover before the end of the game - cutting many peoples sight lines. Police were sent up and someone charged for the foul language - which no-one heard except the security. :redcard:

Saw Fish in the bay having a chat to a security guy and another wearing a tie about 1/2 hour before kickoff.

Any idea of the outcome?

Yeah mate, nothing to it. Jimmy and I met up with that same security bloke (Greg - top bloke actually) to take the flags/drum/mega in before gates opened. Same chat is had before every finals match, "Don't swear, don't stand on seats etc etc"

I know of several issues which have happened at the back of Bay 18 (a few of us regularly stand there) whereby personal vendettas against certain member patrons have resulted in them being booted from the ground. When this member tried to walk through the gates at the next game, they were greeted by several E-Group security personnel and informed of a "ban" which had been imposed. Upon clarifying this with the Mariners/Stadium management, this was infact found to be false and they were in no position to issue bans, only recommend them in their post event meetings.

Most people carry smart phones so why not start taking video of the heavy handed security and send to mariners corporate and the security conpany with formal complaints.
This would no doubt raise some questions about E-Group's actions however...Correct me if I'm wrong but taking photos/videos of others without their consent is illegal?

I'll correct you then :)

In public spaces we have no particular right to privacy, but there are certain caveats on that.

While BTS is private property, it's still all pretty much the same thing. While photography is permitted, they can't stop you taking those images / videos.

It can get a bit tricky if you're recording a conversation without somebody's consent though.....

Also, they would have ZERO right to confiscate your camera / phone / memory card or order your to delete the images.

So long story short, you'll be fine. I'd also encourage people to start recording these encounters.

Evidence, people. After all, I'm sure lots of people who are justifiably kicked out still like to bitch and whinge about how they were treated, even make up garbage to try and get the security guards in trouble. While I'm sure the agency doesn't want to protect thugs, this fact does leave them in a tricky situation when dealing with complaints without evidence.

Same goes for the police and courts if criminal charges are appropriate.

I've personally found the police at the stadium to be absolutely useless when I've sought their assistance on one occasion, and there have always been intermittent problems with security overstepping the mark.
