ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Apart from the Brissy games, and maybe WSW, every game feels winnable right about now if we can continue playing like we did against the Scum.

Two away games at the end of the season is crap!
Just play home & away each week.
It`s bad enough when the Mariner`s are away from home for just one week.

I think 20 points from the 33 will see us secure 2nd and that should be the target now. However, if I was Mossy I'd be looking at these particular games in another way. These are the games that we have to get up for precisely because no-one expects us to win them at this stage. If we win twice against Brisbane then we are neck and neck with the Roar and a very unlikely premiership becomes a possibility.

. note for any members still holding free passes:
  • take a very close look at that list and the conditions of 'bring a friend' tickets
  • i believe your only two options are now the next two games (melbourne and wellington)
  • i don't think they are meant to process them the day of the game (do it beforehand)
  • don't let your tickets go to waste

Has there ever been a poll or debate on this forum on what is considered the biggest achievement, winning the premiership or winning the grand final/championship?
If so, what was the majority view?

Two wins in a row for me - The pressure when it's all or nothing against a team supposably equal in quality under the watching eyes of a roaring crowd out ways week in week out success for excitment & reward.

I take nothing away from premiers it's a great achievement. But in Australia only GF's matter.

Ask the wonderers who thought jumping up & down in Newcastle was fun until they went to Allianz.

Ask all the CC fans wether they remember the GF defeats & the highest high or the nights we won the premiership.

WE ARE THE PREMIERS - Nope
WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS - YEP

I'd pick premiership. To win the prem means you gotta be the best team over the whole year. Championship is pretty good to have, especially after being so close so many times… but it takes more to win over 27 games than to just win 2/3 in a row.

It has to be the Championship.
Never mind what has happened along the way. When the music stops the winner will always the last man standing.
Remember Stephen Bradbury ? :D
