For me, there is no debate. Country every single time for the rest of forever. The Mariners could win everything available for the next 5 seasons and it wouldn't be 2% of the feeling I had tonight when Jesus scored that goal. Or when Harry scored against Croatia. Or when Timmy did his thing against Japan.....
To be there tonight and listen to the cacophony of noise around the stadium during that 20 minute period where we systematically destroyed Uzbekistan..... that is the feeling in football that cannot be beaten. Club football, whilst having amazing moments of its own (e.g. Super Sunday last season) cannot ever hope provide that. To me, country is the pinnacle, the ultimate honour.
