ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Geez, them fkn Bears , have‘nt had two zacs to rub together for 22 years but know they want in because of the Dolphins ( who had to have a modern ground and millions in the bank and in assets) to join the NRL

Sounds like they know they have to do something really desperate and out of the box to stand any chance. Can’t see it being well supported though. I still think the NRL would be better off having a crack at either a second Vic or NZ team or maybe trying their luck in Perth. A Perth venture might even help Glory if they can apply some pressure to get another rectangular stadium that isn’t so stupidly expensive.

But could be good news for us I guess.

Many parent’s simply don’t want their kids playing Rugby League, as it’s too dangerous.

“Rugby league is set to be rocked by the sport’s first concussion class action after lawyers acting for former English, Welsh and Scottish players – including Super League legend Bobbie Goulding – announced their intention to sue in a case that will have huge ramifications for the NRL.” - Sydney Morning Herald.

League is yesterday’s sport. Football is the future.

I'm really happy about this, I'm a massive Mariners and North Sydney Bears fan and stopped following the NRL when the bears got sent packing all those years ago. I have loosely followed them in the second division but to be back in the first division would be great and get my attention back on the league.

To have both of my teams back and at their respective home grounds would be awesome, I would travel to both! I just hope the Mariners can secure rights to CC Stadium and the Bears to re-enter and play majority at NSO with the odd game or two up here.

North Sydney mayor Jilly Gibson says the council will “bend over backwards” to ensure the Bears receive whatever assistance is required to return to the NRL.

The Bears are positioning themselves to be in the frame for the game’s 18th licence should the NRL opt to expand the competition beyond the addition of Redcliffe-based Dolphins. Their pitch is to play between four and six games at their spiritual home of North Sydney Oval, with their other home games to be spread across regional centres in NSW.

How desperate is league to stay relevant in the off-season? Another recycled newspaper tidbit doing the rounds for ten years.

Tis getting awfully close first home game kick off ... even to let other teams know were we are playing must be becoming an issue... maybe given all NSW in the first few weeks... its kinda OK but if coming from interstate accommodation, transport etc is not normally left to the last minute...

I do wonder, if this is a grand stuff up or tis being done on purpose... but the delay, and the lack of any community communication is undeliverable ...

Perhaps its time we started to make some noise ourselves and start in numbers contacting local radio stations, NBN and maybe local papers as well...

Yer it seems FA have been smart in having our first three games as away games... giving an extra bit of time to sort out the stadium issue...

As PJ posted above 12 & 18 December are our first home games...
