ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Apparently the new grass is called Hero Turf, an anagram of which is Fore Hurt...

Am I the only one who smells a conspiracy?

If the guys were able to lift it easily with their hands then I'd say it won't be OK for the NRL. Could be a few knee injuries......
sorry...was being facetious......
agree...not suitable for either code without being properly bedded in.
if there are injuries (either NRL or football) because of the recent turf laying there is no point suing the council 'cos they dont have any money

It is looking okay.

Hero grass must be miracle grass!
Not really breaking up at all. No one losing their feet either. It looked worse after our warm up on Monday so the week must have done it wonders. Really proves the timing of the re-lay was specifically for this. Crowd looks all on the west side so can't really gauge how many are there but doesn't sound like many.

I don't usually give the council any props but gee the turf they've laid really held up well at the NRL tonight. At full time it looked like we could march straight out there and play without any work needed. It looked shite for our game but I guarantee it will be sublime for our next home game.

I've done some research on the hero turf and from what I can tell (depending on who they got it from) it may have a percentage of synthetic stitched into it. Unless the hero is a brand from a supplier who I can't find

Hand stitched by Uighur children in battery factories watched over by machine gun toting guards. Probably.

Is that really the sort of thing with which we want to be associated?

It's a trademark so there should only be one variant surely. 5% synthetic. Interesting.
