ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

You can't push players back from your senior squad in to this permanently and cut them off your senior squad and out of your cap - this is an amateur league.

It's good because guys like McAndrew and Redmayne can get game time, as can any returning players coming back from injury (as you can have up to four over-age players in the matchday XV of the youth team)... But they still are part of your senior squad and salary cap.

That's one of the best parts IMO.

EDIT- since it's an amateur league, can Danny play in it?

Considering that it's an FFA organised league (well, I believe it to be?) and Danny's band is FFA sanctioned and possibly going to be FIFA sanctioned, unfortunately I'd have to say no. :(

yeah im pretty sure neill was 21 last year - hence why you may have seen matty simon and his girlfriend rush to the carpark as soon as the sydney game was called off (it was his party... ironically, a beach party theme)

So this youth league will definitely be on next year then??? And do we know what the format for fixtures will be or are FFA still working on that??

Would be awesome to have the youth team play before their respective HAL first team matches. You could actually make a good day out from it as I find that one match is just not long enough by the time it's all over and done.

Although hopeful, I would doubt that they would play before the main game mainly due to the pitch getting sckuffed up. They cancelled every charity game due to this.

EPL youth league games are played the day after 1st grade, even at a different ground in some cases.

Personnally I think it would be great for the crowd and for the players if on the same day at Blue Tongue.

Yeah, it would be good too get too see the upcoming talent on the coast and give htem the experience of playing infront of crowd's.

The NSL Youth League always played before the main game. It never really damaged the fields and allowed the crowd to see the up and coming talent. Hopefully CCM will choose to have the youth team play first.

A-league news item says "These matches will be scheduled as either curtain-raisers to Hyundai A-League fixtures or the day after, depending on the preference of the club."  see http://www.a-league.com.au/default.aspx?s=hal_newsdisplay&id=21676 for full report
