Brisbane Boy... so might be hard to get him down here if he was to make a return.
But thats a good thought PJ.

Wish we could poach Minnicon or Williams, could play wide right and or use in our striker combinations...

Bozanic is quick, love to have someone with real pace on the other side.
Porter however has a terrific cross I guess...

Can confirm press conference is to announce Marvin has been released from his contract after failing a drug test and being caught in the middle of a Wayne Carey style drama with an unnamed players wife.

Why do you expect something else??

Well I had my fingers crossed for "Villa dumps Barca for Mariners" announcement.
Oh Well

JVS got his #1 shirt this morning after a practice session with John Crawley. He was looking pretty sharp and will be a valuable addition to the squad in place of Danny.

while JVS was going through his paces the rest of the squad were doing a gut busting beep test, then high intensity pass and go drills and then finished with another high intensity restricted touch game that lasted 30-40 minutes I reckon to end the session.

The squad will continue to improve and I am getting excited for this year. Bring it on. It wil take time to gel but you can be guaranteed that our games will be entertaining.

Excellent. Thanks for the pics. Looks like the COE is well under way with its development.

Pitch doesn't look very flat in those shots.

It doesn't look too bad. But I was mainly being sarcastic at the lack of construction going on in the background.

As anyone who has had the misfortune to play on it when it was Tuggerahs pitch, its 1m% better

I was quite pleased with the effort on Saturday night @ Homebush....I thought our posession and passing was a vast improvement on last season. Patrick the dutch guy is very strong at the back won everything in the air and is very composed especially when distributing the ball. The other exciting thing was to see Ollie Bozanic live for the first time....he is quick, skillful and strong on the ball....very good prospect. Overall I left Homebush with a sense of optimisim for the upcoming season mainly because we actually played some Football if you get my drift? I was very sceptical re Arnies appointment however there are signs of a focus on playing proper football which is heartening, however having said that there is a long way to go.

2 players really stood out as throwbacks to the hit and hoof school of football. hopefully they will learn or leave by seasons end

I too thought the Dutch guy is what we thought we were getting in Doig, a leader and talisman at the back. We nearly scored from a corner FFS!!

Cant wait for 5th August
