Thanks almost.
Can anyone confirm it isn't Kalac that people are talking about?
I'l take silence as affirmation its him.

I know he's a keeper, but 38 years old is still getting up there...
Anyone followed his career at all?

Ok so by now im sure most people know that our #1 target is Ante Covic and looks quite promising that we are going to get him, he was always a bit of a dick but i only hated him so much because he played for scum and saved them on so many occasions against us with point blank saves!

Will be a good keeper, Arnold can sort him out

This one will be interesting when it hits the news ;)... He's a great keeper who had a few injuries last season, I'm sure he will be happy to be playing 'at home' and with coaches who have some idea of what is going on.

Media Release

Vanstrattan parts company with Gold Coast

GOALKEEPER Jess Vanstattan has parted company with Gold Coast United by mutual agreement and is set to join Hyundai A-League club Central Coast Mariners this week.

The Gosford-born custodian expressed a desire to return to his hometown and Uniteds management agreed to terminate his contract to enable the move to occur prior to the start of the new season.

Gold Coast CEO, Clive Mensink, said the club did not wish to stand in the players way and wished him well for the future.

"There was interest in Jess from the Central Coast Mariners and Jess himself indicated that he would like to make the move which will take him closer to his family roots, Mensink said.

On this occasion we did not want to stand in Jesss way and we wish him all the very best for the future. He is an excellent goalkeeper and Im sure he will do very well for the Mariners.

United will now look to bring in a replacement for Vanstrattan as soon as possible with the new season set to start on 8 August. Head Coach Miron Bleiberg said he was hopeful of concluding a deal with a new goalkeeper sooner rather than later.

Obviously securing a new goalkeeper is paramount and we will be looking to make signing as soon as possible, as long as the player is right for us, he said.
