ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

To be fair to him, he is really a Scot, he was brought up there, played all his football there so its natural he would feel more at home there.

SPL would also be a step up from HAL so can understand his ambition

I really hope you're right, but it seems that HAL contracts aren't worth the paper they're written on. If he decides he wants to stay over there, the little matter of a contract isn't going to stop him.
Of course, he may be an ethical person to whom a contract means something, and maybe he feels some loyalty to the club who gave him a go when nobody else wanted him. I like to think that's the kind of person he is.

Within the HAL, that's true as there are no inter-club transfers. [EDIT - in the sense that clubs tend to cut losses and release the player from the contract]

Internationally though, the club would be asking for a fee I'm sure and if they don't get one he'd be coming back.

He's getting a game now.

Came on in the 90th last night.

He'll be back.......he'll have no choice.

Sitting on the bench for 90 mins in the freezing cold in front of a crowd less than the GC - I agree

I would be happy to have em back... will also make him realize he has to establish himself a name on the A-League before he can head back...meaning I hope that he puts in all year...

If Wee mac continues to warm the bench over there for 90 mins at a time I would imagine there's a good chance he won't be picked in the WC squad.

He'll definitely go to the WC. I don't think it's even a question. Who else do they have?
