Celtic Kit to be made away strip

I think what they are saying that this will be worn, ONLY when our normal strip clashes with the home teams strip. So there should be no clash with GC. We would wear our away/clash strip when playing Wellington in Wellington. Just because we are playing away does not mean that we have to wear an away strip as in the first few seasons.

I understand that.

What I am saying is that GCU's home kit is yellow. Our away kit is yellow and our home kit has yellow on it. This is a clash.

Our home kit is mostly navy, we'll wear that against GC. The Jets are going blue and red, removing that clash. We'll be fine with a yellow away shirt.

There is a big difference between having a blue and yellow stripped kit and the crap yellow GC play in. If the players can't tell the difference between the two then there is a problem. The shirts are different enough that there should not be a problem. Check out the pics from last season - CCM Vs GC

White. It was otherwise very similar to what we saw on Saturday night, from memory. At that point we would have been expecting the scum to stay in their curry-fart brown though, necessitating a non-yellow away kit.

I really want the logos to be dye sublimated on rather than pressed on I must say. The shirts will age better and be more comfortable on the players because there won't be stickers or patches on them.

I think the idea behind having a second kit is to avoid clashing with other teams, and by clashing I don't mean wearing the same colour somewhere on both kits, but not being able to tell one team from the other.

When people are saying they want a different colour, that's fair enough if that's what they want, but I'm sure there are plenty like me that hate the idea of going different colours for the clash kit. Our club colours are yellow/navy, so what other colour do you want? I guess I could stand white, but only if we really had to.

This is so strange, sometimes it feels like opposites world on here, football fans cheering when we lose players, complaining when our clash kit has our club colours of yellow and navy instead of something else... lol.

There`s only one player I`d cheer if we lost..

Now that the Bogan Scum have dropped their 'urine strip' for Barca colours, we could always adopt that.

Hmmm.... don't know I like a mostly navy home strip.

As for the 'Celtic'strip - love the colour, love the socks, don't like the look of the shirt (there are better Hummel designs (eg. the W-League one))

Obviously some on here are at an advantage because they seem to know what the new home strip will be like.

Also I wouldn't want a white away strip - a navy one with yellow trim would be fine.

Can't please everyone I guess. I would hate a navy strip with yellow trim, as that would be too Melbourne Victory-like.

I guess you didn't like out kits last season? AFAIK this season is pretty much the same but with a bit of blue added to the alternate kit, instead of all yellow.

I bought the HAL 6 away shirt ... happy with that

As long as the new strips dont have those RIDICULOUS massive black iron-on sheets on the front and back I will be happy, they were insanely uncomfortable to even sit in let alone play a 90 minute game, felt like sitting with an A4 piece of paper down your shirt...

kevrenor - I know they say a picture is worth a thousand words but I'm struggling to understand things here lol... maybe a sentence or two rather than a random emoticon would help :)

I guess you mean you don't like our kit from last season and prefer the all yellow clash kit to the yellow/navy stripes (I think it's more navy than yellow, but would be something like 60-40??)

If we could have a time machine and go back and the current Celtic/Alternate kit was offered up instead of the yellow/navy stripes we have, I'd probably pick the one with mainly yellow too. Since I don't like the idea of making massive changes every year or two, I think what we have is pretty good.
