ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I agree how much more of a threat we looked when Kuol went off. I dont think Duarte is the answer nor would he start in any other AL side (yet) but he played as a real striker.
We are also better when Theo isnt on. He has scored 4 goals in 85 games. 4!
He stops when he gets the ball. Fatal, allows the defence to get set

I thought Theo was one of our better players last night and definitely the only player with any sort of goal threat. His actual returns are disappointing though...

He was peak Theo last night - Jekyll and Hyde. At times a world beater, other time absolute dog shit.

There was a play in the first half where he absolutely burnt their left centre back in a wonderful bit of skill, then proceeded to hammer a simple fifteen metre cross forty metres.

Yes, I remember exactly that particular blend of excitement and disappointment.

TBF WU are a pretty good team.Lots of experienced pros -Ibusaki,Danzaki and Imai and lots of good youngsters-Botic,Grimaldi and Leonard.Aloisi has had lots of critics as a coach but seems to have learnt how to put together a good squad who play fine attacking football.I know MV and MC supporters hate them but I like the way they play.

The situation with Theo exposes our in effective recruitment.

In the past 2 seasons (1.5 for Theo) I don’t actually think he’s improved much nor regressed, he’s the same guy he was when we got him. But in the past we have had Sammy and Torres playing left side, Nkololo and Doka playing right and Tilio as well, so he has been bench impact player.

Now with complete lack of teeth in the front third he is being played as senior player and starter, and has never had either the fitness or the toolkit to play that role. I presume given what our squad looks like that Fejao was supposed to be playing starting role in that side, but he had been a complete and utter failure.

I alerted Monty to the Leonard brothers two and half years ago. Dylan could have been in Mariners colours. Dylan is best friends with best man’s son in Melbourne. I spoke to him back then and he would have come to the Mariners in a heart beat. He is having a cracking season.
