That was a huge win tonight

For me the most pleasing aspect was the improvement in shape and the movement by players off the ball.

Jacko easily won the tactical battle of the coaches .

On paper they should have torn us to shreds we had two 16yo's and an 18yo keeper .

Goes out on a limb but I think Doka is up there as one of our best signings imo the 4th best visa player we have had, behind Patty Z, Cumdog, Telio,

After a slow start Definitely fits into our best overseas players.
No doubt currently, there is night and day between him and the next best attacking player in our squad.

Massive performance last night.
There was a huge difference in our attack compared to the rest of the season, we looked far more threatening and should’ve scored a few more.

Eames again was fantastic but starting him every game is a quick way to burn him out, in recent years young talents like Garang & Irankunda were examples of how to gradually built minutes without throwing them too far in the deep end to early.

DPC is 18 and learning on the job, he's got a massive future and should be someone we make great money off when he inevitably goes. That one big error dropping the cross almost cost us though and he definitely owes Brian a beer for that block.
Brian pissed him off after he gave away the corner instead of letting Dylan just collect the ball. So I think they are square.

I might be reading a bit too much into it but I found the two second half goals celebrations and Jackson’s post match interview interesting.

Jackson went at painful lengths to justify his criticism of the subs last week. He more than once referred to the criticism they received about it.

Also, both Doka and Edmo celebrated away from the fans even though they scored at that end. Edmo usually loves a goal celebration with the fans but he ran past them. Doka ran the other way.

Are the playing group and Jacko pissed off with the fan group for this? Has Jacko amplified the criticism during the week in an attempt to unite and galvinise the squad? Am I reading too much into it?

We're creating more chances than we we have in recent times, and we're defending with more concentration too.

Still a long way to go though
This was still my assessment by then end of the game still thankfully. We were slow a lot, but it at least appeared intentional as it limits WSW tactics.

Big improvement. Played as a unit. Organised and disciplined. Created chances. It's progress and I'll take it.

That's the new benchmark for standard of play and we weed to build off that as the minimum required performance.

All the goals were fun to watch!

I think you may be reading too much into it. Getting a shellacking from the fans following a sub-par performance is all part of the experience that players would expect.

The post-match comments about the squad cullture and being able to throw mud at each other and be open to criticism after poor performances without fear is interesting.

Another good refereeing performance from Grand Final ref Alex King.

Let the play flow, ignored obvious 'dying swan' dives from players. And was tough when he needed to be (eg. Steele). I rate him the best ref in the comp (while admitting the bar isn't too high).

Eames body movements are delightful. Definitely has some of the Balard hip twist that throws off the defense.

Steele can’t or doesn’t use his body like that.

Can assume Alfie is out a few weeks and that will give Eames and Steele time to cement the better partnership.

Hey @true believer siculana might be a chance of some minutes in the next few weeks. Lets see if your call is right

Maybe they have been reading this forum and have been pissed off by some of the unreasonable comments about their mates.

Realistically, I think they just ran to the corners in their excitement.

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
WELL, that was alright-ish, I mean 3 points is 3 points , right ?
kudos to Alou for using his feet for something other than filling reeboks,
one again the kids done good , imagine what Eames and de lima will be like when they get their tanks up to full capacity...and as for Daddy Doks and his 94th minute turbo boost, well done you, but your clearly not doing enough midnight feeds or nappy swaps
Eddos header was brilliant , hope Alfie isnt banged around too much , we aint exactly got a experienced cover for him....

OH YEAH, PARAMOUNT, WTAF ?...20 mins into the game and you want to change it over to the ninjas , you dribbling idiots , if i wanted to watch the ninjas run around I would of put the f**king ninjas on in the first f**king instance
