ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

. I would be more concerned about the opposite view ... it seems people are assuming Rich really, really WANTS the club

. what if he looks at it and goes 'despite all our success ... I'm still not hitting my targets ... so thanks, but no thanks Mike'
Maybe he does - but if that is the case Richard has made the club a better chance for Mike to sell to other buyers by investing more over the last seasons.

If he leaves, he leaves us as 1x Champions, 1x Premiers, and also potentially back to back Champions, and potentially AFC cup Champions for the mens, as well as the ladies getting into the finals. Throw in the potential (unconfirmed) sales of Di Pizio, Farrell, Balard, Nisbet, plus how many others in the works behind the scenes. We would be a lot more attractive option for someone looking to invest then we were 2 years ago, and a hell of a lot better then the Jets and Perth.

Can RP sell his share while he’s got it?

Bail out while the goings good.
Could he take the 2.5mill afc winnings (or part thereof) and take club earnings an run?

This is exactly my concern. Seeing him present the medals went some way to alleviating that concern.

I think it's a degree of jumping at shadows. Richard had less than zero reason to get involved in the sport and specifically our club. We've been a basket case. We've turned around and improved to an insane degree, beyond any reasonable expectations, and now is when he's going to jump out after making the conscious choice to get involved with us?

Unless Charlesworth ends up being a massive cock again (definitely possible), I would've thought this is exactly what Richard would have hoped to have seen and probably more on top of that.

. well, no, what Rich would have hoped for would have been to exceed his targets or at least hit them ... but he hasn't (or we haven't)

. and like I said ... that is despite our on field success. imagine how far he'd be from hitting his goals if we were shit ... or not consistently winning trophies. :)

I reckon memberships would have been up (anyone know?)
The 4 losses deflated a lot of casual fans. Next season will be better crowds I hope as confidence will be high with Jacko from the get go

Would be interesting to get some information from RP, after the purposed clubs meeting with APL, to determine what he thinks of what they plan to do, and how bad things are...
