A criminal case is beyond reasonable doubt for a conviction whilst a civil case is the balance of probability to one side.
Without knowing the specifics of the case it could be him who is sued in a civil case.

You reckon degenek or hrustic or karacic are playing for us if they were good enough to get in the Croatian team?
Or half the Irish team if they were good enough to play for England? Every international break they bang on about the plastic Paddy's.
It's international football - if you aren't good enough to get into your choice of national team then keep finding as many tenuous links until someone picks you 🤷🏻♂️
