ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

With regards to the influx of funds we receive at membership renewal.  The Marinators Club membership renewal is due same time as leagues club membership.

This influx of cash allows us to bulk purchase merchandise which pretty much stocks us for the majority of the season.  Bulk purchase enables us to receive higher discounts which we pass onto members.
But I would have thought that February is not the best time to get that influx anyway? Wouldn't it be better to get that in, say, May or June?

Is it possible that CCLC might allow our club to collect Marinators memberships at one time in the year (with, hopefully, CCLC collecting taking the payments as before)? It wouldn't hurt to ask the question if someone on the committee has the time.

As for checking currency of Marinators memberships, perhaps its possible to stamp the CCLC membership card with a Marinators due date? I don't know; just tossing it out there. Someone who has experience with creating these cards might have better ideas. Anyone know a name of a company that markets membership card systems?

All will be done to help with the transition. I haven't let you down before and see no huge hurdle to get over this time. It is not a matter of cost saving, rather spreading the cost over the year, rather than a big hit in one period.
Remember originaly the Club was keen for the Marinators to handle their own membership, which after representations from Jeff and I it was agreed the Club would. Then remember the we had to get the 'M' on the card that took a while, but it was sorted.
I'm happy to chat with the group, and when I have more info on how we are going to do this we'll make our plans accordingly.
Thanks

From a financial perspective of the Marinators club the CCLC takes our renewal payments, they will then send us a cheque for all the members who join on a quarterly basis, so what that means currently is all membership renewals fall in Jan/Feb, the majority will join our club at that stage and Marinators Club renewals get forwarded to us around April/May.  This is perfect timing as our season starts in July/Aug meaning we have good funds available for merchandise, banners, flags, events etc etc............Having it staggered throughout the year would of course mean the majority of our funds would probably not come at such a perfect time.

However in saying that, with CCLC change comes Marinators Club change, and the Marinators club treasurer will need to ensure funds are available at the times we need it :)

Exactly right, Charles has never let us down (except for allowing a private booking in the Kendall last weekend ;)) so it's up to the Marinators club to put our thinking caps on for how Charles can help us :)
