We were just played off the park tonight they were just to good...

They simply played all over us... we had no answer .... our two center mids both had poor games and that did not help but by heaven they did put so pressure on.... in fact as I saw it only weeMac in the midfield could hold his head high and he just keeps getting better each week....

They are a very good side and along with the inbreds are the teams to beat ... they gave us a football lesson tonight ... lets hope we learnt from it...

My top three ... weeMac... Rose & Ryan (even tho he was off his line for the first goal)

Also they scored two goals they may not equal this year ... the bash from outside the box and miss everybody and the 25 meter chip they don't often come off that often...

Hutch was lucky to be still on the park IMO it was a red as I saw it ......given the ref did nothing maybe for the match review guys

Hutcho was lucky to stay on the pitch.

A 2 footed tackle on Mackay off the ball should have been shown a straight red. Shocking stuff from him and gives credence to those still hanging onto the Mariners are thugs line (Miron)

Awful performance. I thought we were asking for the first goal, sitting in the box and scrambling inside the first 20 mins. They started the second half a bit better but the second goal crushed them. It was a negative away setup from Arnold and Brisbane lapped up the space in midfield. Reminded me of the Wellington performance. The transition let us down and it was as though they were waiting for Perez to run on and give the strikers the ball. Here's hoping he is back next game.

Hutch and Simon need to GTFO.

WeeMac was a real positive though and I love him running at players towards the box. He set up most of our half chances so MOM for me. Nice to see Amini on the pitch too.

Also, someone please give Matty Ryan some media training. I think Miron got it right regarding his performance saying that no matter how good he is, he is bound to make mistakes. Credit to Matty for making some good saves after his mistakes really could have got him down.

I don't know what to say after that.

Well played Brisbane - two great goals.

Wee-Mac and Ryan can be reasonably happy with their game, but after that I struggle to find anyone. Our recently in form players, Rose, Bozanic and Bojic all seemed very rusty. Matty and McBreen struggled to do anything - though they had little service. Hutch should have been sent off.

IMHO, when we play Roar again we have to outnumber them in midfield. Drop one of Matty or McBreen and bring in Doig or Hutch next to Griffiths. They just dominated us in midfield and we were left playing way to deep with no outlet.

What an absolutely monstrous strike from Franjic - credit where it's due etc.

BUT, press up lads!!! He should _never_ have got that shot off.

Painful to watch us look that flat and toothless.
Yes a very similar performance to the shocker against Welly.
The sooner forgotten the better.

Only real positive was Amini getting his debut.
Must have Perez, or I'm for a 4231 or a new striker please.

Brisbane overwhelmed us and we were flattered by the 0-2 score line. But, throughout the first half the Mariners always tried to play possession football in particular out of defence; we may not have been good enough on the night but we are no longer McKinna's bash and hope team. I thought Matt Ryan showed all his age and inexperience whilst also doing some great work. Bojic and Rose were adequate but could rarely get forward in support. Zwanswyk was exposed a fw times but can't always be expected to be superb - perhaps Arnie could gave brought on Doig earlier? I though Wilko was our best defender. Griffiths was pedestrian and over run by those pesky little dynamos of the Roar. Hutchinson was so old school McKinna - his time has come and he can play out his long (too long) contract by carrying the water bottle. Bozanic had a poor night, Lewis should have been brought on after a hour. McGlinchey was excellent which shows how we missed Perez. Simon and McBreen are too limited but right now Arnie hasn't many options so wait until next year when he completes the clear out. Amini was willing but turned the ball over several times so don't expect him to be the next Perez just yet, he has some way to go. And come on guys, lift your spirits, we tried to play football but were beaten by a better team on the night. Back Arnie, he is bringing real change to the Mariners and will make you all proud to be Mariners supporters!

As much as I hate losing i enjoyed watching Matt Mackay last night ,he simply ran at everything closing down options or causing us to lose possession. Even though we are now passing the ball we are still too slow at it and that allowed Roar to dominate

i wish football was like the NBA and you could swap and trade players... brisbane can have hutch, mrdja and kwasi for mackay!

Showed patches of form, but generally well behind the pace in this game. Simon continues to disappoint. Amini looked well out of his depth - welcome to the big time son. Difficult game to make your debut though - when others around you are having an off day. Credit to Arnold for giving the two youngsters a go.

Four goals conceeded in the last two games is also a worry. This coincides with Dutchy's two worst games in Mariners' colours. Despite scoring the winner against Nth Qld errors crept into his game in which Wilko covered on numerous occasions. The same thing happened last night but on a bigger scale. He loses his man quite a bit, especially when there is a quick transition in play that leads to crosses or through balls.

It probably doesn't help that we have such a young keeper in goals who is still learning his trade in his technique let alone getting a grip on his communication and orgainsation skills. A more experienced keeper could organise the two centre backs while they organise the rest of the team.

Griffiths lost his man and failed to make tracking runs FAR more than Dutchy did.

not disputing this but just saying that dutchy has not been the impenetrable defender that people have made out, especially the last two games

wilko has covered his butt on many an occasion and has been far more impressive this season
