ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

It is so extraordinary to think that in our short time as a club we witnessed such legends as Romario, Benito Carbone, Tony Vidmar, John Aloi$i and Dwight Yorke at Bluetongue.

Add Fergie and Tobes from our coaching staff, now the strong possibility of seeing Bozza there next weekend and our little corner of the earth that was once a rugby league town has truly been blessed.

I agree with you there Mick. I remember seeing Carbone scoring against us from a free kick and thinking at the time that I was blessed to see such a great player pull off a truely magic moment right in front of my eyes.

even better, we won the game

Laurie was all smiles after the practice this morning. I asked him about Bozza and he smiled and said he will only get better. Laurie's comment was "that he is hungry he has something to prove and dont forget he only got off the plane yesterday".

I think the best thing that he will offer will be the leadership of the defence. Bozza has always been a talker and even in the practice at BT you could hear him throughout the small game.

We will also see whether Danny is prepared to accept the challenge to his position which he held without pressure since Crawley retired injured.

Was at the post match function tonight.

When interviewed, Lawrie said that Bosnich has a short term contract with the Mariners!

Hmmm, wondering how much of this deal might already be done and they're just playing the media.

LOL.

But after five years hiding from the world, Bosnich, 36, has finally re-emerged. In reduced circumstances, but with his head held high, and getting higher all the time.

hahaha, massive lol.

No.But I do think Venables was one of the most overrated coaches around at the time. That Aussie team played some great football (and not just in that  game either)but they had no f**kin idea how to defend a lead in a game that really mattered against very ordinary opposition. That side had the potential imo to go on and perform well at the World Cup.Iran went there and were crap.
A very sad night but we should have strung Venables up by his Venables after it and then dumped the tosser in the Yarra river!

Yes but we had so many chances early on to have 4 or 5 by half time.....
