I felt he was just being realistic, I’m going down to watch the game and to be honest don’t have any great expectations just want to get an early look at Doka and see how Kuol has come along. SFC have been pretty quiet on the player front as well and I’m getting the feeling they were more up for last year than this upcoming game. Maybe the WC has kept the focus low key.

Lull them into a false sense of security and/or manage expectations. What he said is reality, they have had more prep time and we have been gutted. We're also missing 2 visa players. All the better when we beat them ?

This is accurate.

If we theoretically went undefeated for a whole season Monty would still preach, smallest club, smallest budget, no one likes us.

It’s a big part of his coaching methodology, us against them. And it obviously works.

Personally I chuckle every time he goes on that rant, knowing it’s not what any of the staff or players think.
