ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Australia Cup round of 32 CCM vs Sydney FC

Defence shaky particularly Aquilina.Penalty soft but I can see how it was given.Hall was able to legally shoulder Burgess away from the ball but then fell onto his back leg and brought him down.I thought Sozer had the ball under control as Burgess had been pushed wide by the first challenge.

Farrell's yellow was bullshit -just good hard tackle and Burgess milked it.Beni was cleaned up by a FC player and that should have been a yellow.

Shit defending for second goal-no one stepping out and Caceres had a easy run and shot.Ballard looking good.

i feel if if this game was played in month time we would be better place squad wise then losing urena and biraz basically ended our cup chances

Honestly, playing 442 we lose the midfield in most of our matches. It’s to be expected.

but you are right, some of the tracking has been average. Comes down to fitness at this point too though.
That's fine if we have a striker to hold up the ball, which was Urena last season. Ayongo hasn't shown the same ability so far, but has plenty of time to grow into the role.

Steele and Ballard may have gone to hard to early.
And now they are trying to help the back by sitting deep.

We are inviting them in.

Where Sydney are pressing us when we try and play it out to Farrell, etc.

And when they have it at their back maybe we are chasing them too much, let their backs have it so we can keep our structure and steel the ball in the middle.

They're tearing us at RB and then we're not marking well enough back in the middle.
Need to turn things around quick or say fairwell to Aus cup this year
