ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.
I think a lot of last year we actually played a 4231 in attack with Urena acting as a 10. I think we could easily adapt to a player as an actual designated 10.Or give Garang a go in triangle midfield.

Hey all,I find the event distasteful as well. Sydney received a distinct advantage by having so many supporters behind the goals.
I was told that I couldn’t go to the other end because I had an active Mariners ticket and had to stay in that end. When I told them that I had a general admission ticket and it could should it to them I was still told no.
Lost like 250 AL appearances, replaced by a handful. It's a forum mate. You and I can comment on posts as long as we don't get too derogatory or abusive.Of course Sozer,Aquilina and Triantis aren't yet at the level of the three terrific players you named and may never reach their level but Sozer and Triantis did look AL standard to me,Aquilina not on today's performance.
I remember there was a forumite who thought Kye Rowles was the pits and regularly dissed his perfomances a couple of seasons ago.I am not saying that was you but it does demonstrate that player assessments by forumites can be too hasty and ill judged.
Probs take us 10-12 rounds again to click. Hopefully not but these combos take time.Sydney is the best at exposing our structures weakness but it took them a few beltings to work us out but you could see them working over the holes and if they had better finishing they could have had more in the 1st half. Our midfield was non existent and the wings didn’t come back and help. There was no link between defense and our attack when going forward. Disappointing play but great fighting spirit and a bit to work on in preseason.
Stormy steadied things nicely
Hall had a shocker
Cumdingo what a header.
We will be competitive this season
I think this will be reasonably accurate. Can't say I see Kuol forcing Ruhs or Beni out at this point. I expect RB will be up in the air and a new senior CB would benefit Aquilina's chances of settling into it. Feel like he has a higher ceiling than Roux but the base has to improve. Triantis will be all over Hall for the other starting spot if Dan has too many games like the last one but he'll get the benefit of the doubt for now.Roux———Hall———New———Farrell

Hey all,
Going to put what happened last night re: penalty shootout here to try and sort all this out and clarify the situation for you all.
I was informed during the 2nd half of ET that the penalty shootout was going to be at the other end and was told that CCM fans were going to be allowed a distance along the hill but not the whole way since the cove was going to head to behind the goals. The aim of this was to stop potential anger between the two groups of fans. I was told that this was communicated to security and they would prepare a line that would basically be the separation between two groups of fans.
when it came to the whistle, it became clear that security weren't aware what to do, and it fell on me and my colleague from Sydney to try and hold the fans moving across whilst security got their act together. During this time a CCM fan, I did not see who, was stopped by the Sydney FC official. This was said to be aggressive at the time, but when speaking to him after he said he put his hand up to stop him and didn't push him but we both understood in the situation it could look that way.
After this happened majority of CCM fans started heading up on the grass and around and with security not doing anything, myself and the sydney colleague let it happen and i believe now he went to check on the barrier that was being set up at the corner - this barrier i did not know about.
A minute or so later i saw someone being taken out by 2 security, this i assume was you @Huddo?
I was informed this was because you tried to rip the barrier away to get past.
There was very much a lack of organization here by the FA and security which meant myself and my colleague at Sydney were put in a very uncomfortable situation here which resulted in a couple of scenarios that shouldn't have occurred. Sydney I am sure are going to be having a frank conversation with the security about this to make sure it is never repeated.
If the penalties had been at the other end due to the coin toss, i believe there would have been something done to create a gap between us and the cove. In the end a gap of sorts was maintained and there was no issues from Sydney or CCM Supporters against each other that i saw or was made aware of.
Was this a ploy to get more sydney support than ccm behind the goal? maybe. but i can also see what they were trying to do and why they were trying to do it.
@marinermick and @Huddo I am sorry for how it went down last night. Mick we had a chat after and I am glad you are all good. I will make sure in a situation like that further down the line there is a more concrete plan in place for our fans to enjoy the game.
Thanks everyone who travelled down and will see you all soon I'm sure.
Very unlikely - the suspended 3 points were for their Academy sides in a FNSW operated competition, with the Australia Cup round of 32 and beyond being operated by Football Australia (or possibly the APL ?♂️) so I don’t believe the penalty carries across. So if it was wsw does that mean that the additional suspended 3 points will be taken away.

youd also need some pretty solid proof linking the people involved (and then they'd be banned & probably visited by the police anyway) and RBB members for any hope of a sanction to stick.Very unlikely - the suspended 3 points were for their Academy sides in a FNSW operated competition, with the Australia Cup round of 32 and beyond being operated by Football Australia (or possibly the APL ?♂️) so I don’t believe the penalty carries across.
??? nailed it!!I think this game just confirmed what was already known. We need experienced leaders.
We didn't have anyone to settle Dan Hall down after his first yellow. We didn't have anyone who could wrestle back control of the game, and our team, in the first half.
All the players on the pitch were more than capable of beating Sydney. We more than proved that by coming back with a man down and pushing to penalties.
All we need is a couple of experienced heads. To know when to calm things down. To know when to have a quick word to a young player eager to make up for their mistake.
Our young side is as good as any other in this league they just need an on field leader to make them a force.
Shandy is a good nickname!A massive shout out to Shandy.
He did a great job organising the bus and the tickets and looked after us all day.
Much appreciated by everyone...
Yep, bang on.I think this game just confirmed what was already known. We need experienced leaders.

Nice idea, I like that.I would like to see if Hall can handle right back.... I see at this early stage RB is our difficult area ... Aquilina only one game so hard to drop him this early but if he fails we need a back up ... not a bench player stepping in...
Doesn't solve our problem as if we move him then we have another rookie at CB.I would like to see if Hall can handle right back.... I see at this early stage RB is our difficult area ... Monty has said there is a visa and an Australian CBDoesn't solve our problem as if we move him then we have another rookie at CB.
